GUIDE TO DOING BUSINESS WITH
COUNTY AGENCIES NOW AVAILABLE For Immediate Release: March 15, 1996

Montgomery County's Office of Procurement has published a quick
reference guide to assist companies that want to learn how to do business with
Montgomery County and other public agencies in Montgomery County.
"The creation of this guide is part of our efforts to support the growth
and viability of our small businesses," said Montgomery County Executive
Douglas M. Duncan. "One way we can help is by making it easier for them to
find out what kinds of opportunities are there for them to do business with
County agencies."
Entitled "The Navigator," the free publication provides useful
information for contractors and vendors who are interested in marketing their
goods and services to the following agencies: Montgomery County, the
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Montgomery College,
the Montgomery County Housing Opportunities Commission, Montgomery County
Public Schools and the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.
"We think businesses that are seeking contracting and business
opportunities with Montgomery County and other local agencies, will find this
guide very helpful and easy to use," said Beatrice Tignor, Director of the
County's Office of Procurement.
