  SERIES OF OPEN HOUSES SET ON
  PROPOSED AMERICAN DREAM PROJECT		For Immediate Release:  Jan. 5, 1996
  
  
  	The Silver Spring Redevelopment Office will host a series of open houses in January to provide information and seek input from the public on the proposed American Dream project in downtown Silver Spring.  County staff, members of the Silver Spring Redevelopment Advisory Board, representatives of the Triple Five Group's development team, and consultants who have analyzed various aspects of the project will be available at each of the open houses to answer questions and discuss issues of concern.
  	Open houses will be held on the following dates:
  	o	Sunday, Jan. 14, 2-5 p.m. -- Woodlin Elementary School, 2101 Luzerne Avenue, Silver Spring.
  	o	Tuesday, Jan. 16, 7:30-10 p.m. -- Silver Spring Armory, 925 Wayne Avenue, Silver Spring.
  	o	Saturday, Jan. 20, 12:30-2:30 p.m. -- Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center, 1000 Forest Glen Road, Silver Spring.
  	In addition, on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m., the Silver Spring Redevelopment Advisory Board's Community Outreach Subcommittee will host a special outreach meeting for minority residents, with Spanish and Vietnamese translators on hand to provide assistance.  The meeting will be held at the Rosemary Hills Elementary School, 2111 Porter Road, Silver Spring.

  	The Silver Spring Redevelopment Office also announces that complete sets of the six consultant studies which were conducted on the proposed American Dream project are available for review at several locations.  Reference copies of the reports may be reviewed at the Silver Spring Redevelopment Office, the Silver Spring Regional Services Center, the Silver Spring Library, the White Oak Library, the Wheaton Regional Library, and at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.  Executive summaries of the studies are available from the Silver Spring Redevelopment Office at no charge and entire reports are available for purchase.
