COUNTY TO HOST 
PROCUREMENT FAIR                        For Immediate Release (Jan. 19, 1996)


     Montgomery County will host its annual procurement fair for minority,
female and disabled business owners on Thursday, January 25, from 1-5 p.m., at
the Quality Hotel in Silver Spring.
     Sponsored by the County's Office of Economic Development and the Office of
Procurement, the fair will allow business owners to meet representatives from
agencies and firms with a combined buying power of more than $700 million.
     Buyers from government agencies and major employers will be available to
discuss their purchasing needs and provide an insider's view on how to secure
contracts.  Admission to the fair is $10.  A reception will be held from 5-6 p.m.
to offer those attending the fair the opportunity to visit with buyers and other
business representatives.
     Approximately 40 agencies and companies are scheduled to participate
