RIDE-ON SERVICE CHANGES TO
TAKE EFFECT MAY 7, JUNE 25 For Immediate Release: April 28, 1995
Montgomery County's Ride-On bus system will make service adjustments on
many of its routes, which will take effect on either May 7 or June 25.
Effective May 7, new Sunday service will be operated on Route 35. Trips
will leave Wheaton every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour, from 8 a.m. to
7 p.m. Route 35 trips will leave Montgomery Mall every 30 minutes at :07 and
:37 after each hour, from 8:37 a.m. to 7:37 p.m. Route 74 (Germantown-Shady
Grove Metro Station, via Great Seneca Highway) will be diverted to service
Kentlands Boulevard.
Most Ride-On routes will have minor service adjustments effective May 7.
Weekday service adjustments of more than five minutes, which may include the
elimination or addition of trips, affect Ride-On routes 5, 9, 11-17, 20, 23,
35, 40, 42, 48 and 74. Service adjustments of more than five minutes on
Saturdays affect routes 2, 11, 15, 16, 17, 20, 29, 40, 42; and on Sundays,
adjustments affect routes 12, 15, 16, 20, 35 and 42.
On June 25, service adjustments affect Ride-On routes 47 and C8. Route
47 will be re-routed between Montgomery Mall and Old Georgetown Road, via
Westlake Terrace, the new Fernwood Road bridge, Rockledge Drive and Democracy
Boulevard. Route C8 will be re-routed between Montgomery Mall and Old
Georgetown Road, via Westlake Terrace, the new Fernwood Road bridge and Rock
Spring Drive.

RIDE-ON SERVICE CHANGES ANNOUNCED 2-2-2
Ride-On service adjustments are made three times a year to improve the
bus system's overall efficiency. The next service changes are planned for
September 3.
