GROUPS CAN SCHEDULE
USE OF SPACE IN SCHOOLS For Immediate Release: Jan. 12, 1996
Groups wishing to use space in County schools between April 1 and June
30 should submit their requests between now and February 1.
Reservations for weekday use -- accompanied by a completed Building Use
Form, check or money order payable to Montgomery County, Maryland, and a
stamped, self-addressed envelope -- should be submitted directly to the
school to be used. Weekday and weekend use of athletic fields also can be
scheduled at the school requested from now until February 1. Because fields
are in short supply, users are asked to share the fields for small groups and
youth practices whenever possible. In order to avoid scheduling conflicts,
Building Use Forms must be submitted for all field use activities.
Requests for Saturday, Sunday and holiday use should be submitted in
person to the Community Use of Schools office at 100 Maryland Avenue, Room
414, Rockville, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Staff will help calculate
the total cost. Please bring a check for full payment and a stamped, self-
addressed envelope.
Although requests for use will be accepted after February 15, priority
consideration will be given to requests received prior to that date.
