VENDORS MUST HAVE NEW
LICENSE TO SELL PRODUCTS
IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY For Immediate Release, February 13, 1996

All vendors of goods and services in Montgomery County must be licensed
by the County Department of Environmental Protection. Chapter 47 of the
Montgomery County Code regulates vendor sales -- both door-to-door and from a
stationary location.
Depending upon the type of vending activity --door-to-door, regular
route, site specific, or future delivery -- license fees range from $125 to
$300. This includes the license and one operator permit, along with a site
review, if required. Additional operator permits are available at a cost of
$25 each.
A new brochure, entitled; "Vendors: What You Need to Know," is now
available free of charge. The publication is available in County libraries or
by calling the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection's
Office of Vending Licensing and Review Information Line at 301-217-6212.
