DUNCAN SEEKS APPLICANTS
FOR YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE       For Immediate Release:  April 26, 1996


     County Executive Douglas M. Duncan is seeking applicants, ages 13 to 20,
to serve on the Montgomery County Youth Advisory Committee.
     The 40-member committee, comprised of students from public and private
schools, addresses issues of concern to youth and parents.  The committee also
plans dances and parties, and produces a newsletter to inform citizens about
youth issues.
     Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at the Department of Recreation's
offices in Silver Spring.
     Applications can be obtained by calling Stephanie White at 217-6090. 
The deadline for submission is June 7, 1996.
