About the Board of Investment Trustees - People
As an ex-officio Board member since 1992, Mr. Farber has served in several capacities. He chaired the Administrative Committee of the Board from 1996 until 1999, was Board Vice Chair from 1999 until 2001 and Board Chair from 2001 until September 2005.
As Council Administrator, Mr. Farber oversees the provision of analytical, legal, and management services required by the Council for its fiscal, legislative, and land use decisions. In addition, he represents the Council on interagency boards dealing with information technology, community use of public facilities, and other matters.
Mr. Farber holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.P.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University. He served previously as executive assistant to the New Jersey Gov. Richard J. Hughes, assistant to Harvard University president Derek Bok, and executive director of the National Governors’ Association.
