Welcome to the Office of Cable and Communication Services in the County’s Department of Technology Services.
The Cable Office Staff is ready to help you with your communications issues. The office administers Montgomery County’s cable and telecom franchise agreements and strives to ensure that service providers comply with service standards and franchise requirements. We work to help resolve customer complaints and monitor service quality on an ongoing basis. We also participate in basic rate regulation, coordinate the siting of telecommunications transmissions facilities, and provide funding to the Public, Education and Government access channels, the County’s institutional network and certain special technology projects.
The office is home to award winning County Cable Montgomery, Channel 6, the County’s government access channel which televises the proceedings of the Montgomery County Executive, County Council and other government and community programming.
