MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY OF SERVICE AND CELEBRATION 2009

The 2009 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service was a great success at locations all around Montgomery County!

Volunteer Center – Volunteer Fair & Service Projects at Bethesda North Marriott
More than 3000 people participated in the event at the Bethesda North Marriott hosted by the Volunteer Center. There were service projects, workshops and a Volunteer Fair with information on volunteer opportunities year-round.

17,000 pounds of food was collected from thousands of county donors at sites all around the county for Manna Food Center!
