Bridget Bean, District Director of the Washington Metropolitan District Office for the U.S. Small Business Administration, addressed more than 160 attendees at a 8(a) Information Session, The Key To Government Contracting held on January 11 . Pamela Mazza, Managing Partner of Piliero Mazza (not pictured), also lead a discussion on proposed regulation changes to the 8(a) Program. Her seminar, entitled New Leaders:  You Can Achieve Your Vision, was held on December 17 at the Rockville Library. The series is held on the third Thursday of each month. Topics and speakers vary and registration for each seminar is individually required. County Executive Ike Leggett receives the recommendations from his Biosciences Task Force, formed to develop an action agenda to further boost biotechnology investment and jobs in the County. Among those joining Leggett are (at left) County Economic Development director Steve Silverman and former MedImmune CEO and Biosciences Task Force chair David Mott.
