| Project Description:
The Plum Gar Neighborhood Recreation Center renovation will include space reconfiguration and
a 14,312 square foot expansion replacing the present modular buildings. The scope includes the construction of an addition to incorporate an expanded lobby and administrative area, social hall, kitchen, weight/exercise room, additional toilets, expanded gymnasium, additional parking and site improvements. A key component of the site and building infrastructure renovation is to meet the County’s green building/sustainability goal of LEED Silver rating.
Project Status: The contract has been signed with Keller Brothers on 11/30/2011. NTP to Phase-I was issued on December 7, 2011 and the Pre-construction meeting was held on the same day. The Ground Braking Ceremony took place on January 7, 2011 and a link for an article by Gazette to the event is provided below. The actual construction is scheduled to start once NTP to Phase II is issued and should be completed in summer of 2013.
