The Director’s office provides overall leadership for the department, including policy development,
planning, accountability, service integration, customer service, the formation
of partnerships and the oversight of socioeconomic programs including
the local small business reserve program and the wage requirements program.
Both of the programs enhance the economy of Montgomery County through
either the creation of procurement opportunities for the local small business
or the provision of an annual established rate of pay for all personnel
employed through service contracts that perform direct and measurable
work. The director’s office also handles administration of the day-to-day
operations of the department, including direct service delivery, operating
and capital budget preparation and administration, training, contract
management logistics, and facilities support and human resources.
