Fleet Management Services is pleased to provide a green alternative to normal gasoline to the public and the County. E-85 is 85% ethanol (15% gasoline), which means it is cleaner burning, and it is made from corn, which means it is renewable source of energy that can reduce the nation's dependence on foreign oil.

There is a growing list of vehicles that are able to accept ethanol or gasoline. Many such vehicles have the sign "FFV" (for "flexible fuel vehicle") and/or the ethanol corn logo on the dash or inside the fuel tank door. Check with your dealer or manufacturer if you are unsure about your vehicle's capacity to use flexible fuel.

In order to offer this valuable service to our community, the County requires that customers sign a waiver before fueling their vehicle. This waiver holds the County harmless in case someone whose vehicle cannot handle E-85 uses it and has problems. To complete the process, print and sign the form and bring it to Fleet Management's Administrative Offices at 16630 Crabbs Branch Way, Rockville, MD. 20855, 2nd Floor, during regular business hours. After completing this form, drivers may use a regular credit card to pay for fuel at the facility.

Montgomery County's Fleet Management Services provides maintenance and repair services to a number of other agencies and governments in the area, including fire departments and local municipalities.
