The Commission on Common Ownership Communities

FILING A COMPLAINT

Any owner or resident of a unit or lot belonging to a condominium, homeowners association, or cooperative in Montgomery County (except those located within the city limits of the Cities of Gaithersburg and Rockville) can file a complaint against the association with the Commission.

Condominium associations, homeowner associations and cooperatives in Montgomery County (except those located within the Cities of Gaithersburg and Rockville) can file complaints against their members or residents with the Commission also.

To file a complaint, you must complete the CCOC Online Complaint Form and follow the instructions in the cover letter.Or you may call 240-777-3636 and ask us to mail you’re the CCOC Complaint Package, which includes the complaint form and other relevant material.

Please note, that pursuant to Code of Montgomery County Regulation 10B.07.01, there is a mandatory filing fee of $50.00 for each complaint.

If your complaint concerns unsafe or unsanitary conditions, such as water leaks, trash, or pest infestations, you should also contact the Division of Housing Code Enforcement by calling 240-777-3785.The Division is an effective way to assist you in dealing with such conditions quickly and at no charge.
