Business Preparedness

Just as it’s important for your family and community to prepare for emergencies, it is vital to take steps to prepare your business. Your business plan should include the following:

• An assessment of how specific hazards might affect your business
• A list of essential functions that must be maintained during and following an emergency
• A list of essential employees and partners that are necessary to maintain business operations in the short-term following an emergency
• Instructions for employess on how to both evacuate the building or shelter in place
