Class Code Six-digit class codes beginning with 00 may indicate classes which are represented or unrepresented, depending on the status of the majority of the positions in the class. For example, class code 009724 is used for the class of Principal administrative Aide; most Principal administrative Aide positions are included in the OPT bargaining unit. Class code 000150 is used for the class of Administrative Specialist III; positions in this class are excluded from collective bargaining. Additional class codes beginning with 10 (for non-union) or 20 (union) and utilizing the same last four digits of the class code have been established to indicate positions having a different status from the majority of the class. For example, the majority of Principal Administrative Aide positions are included in the OPT bargaining unit and are assigned to class code 009274; a Principal Administrative Aide position excluded from the bargaining unit has the class code 109274. The additional class codes were established for salary/bargaining unit identification purposes only. Class specifications continue to be identified by the last four digits of the class code, and grades and minimum qualifications remain the same. |
