ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 01-06-04, at 11:08 p.m., the Mobile Gas Station, located at 19235 Frederick Road, Germantown, was robbed.  One suspect entered the store, implied a handgun, and demanded money.  The clerk complied.  The suspect left the store and was seen getting into a small green car.  The first suspect was described as a black male, 20-26 years, 5’10”, 200 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.  No description was provided for the second suspect in the car.

-On 01-05-04, at 2:54 a.m., the Chevron Gas Station, located at 11606 Middlebrook Rd. in Germantown was robbed. A lone suspect (B/M, 5’10”, 200 lbs., grey shirt over face, black coat, black pants with white stripes down side, white tennis shoes) entered the station, implied a gun, and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect was seen walking towards Middlebrook Road.  

            -On 01-01-04, at 5:11 p.m., the Seven Express Beer and Wine food market, located at 1071 Rockville Pike in Rockville, was robbed. A lone suspect (B/M, 18 years, 5’6”, 150-170 lbs., short black hair, mustache, light blue jeans, black leather jacket, white shirt) entered the store, displayed a silver handgun, and demanded cash. The victim complied. The suspect was last seen walking towards the 1000 block of Rockville Pike.  

            -On 01-05-04, at 10:40 p.m., two Silver Spring women were victims of an armed robbery in the 8600 block of Flower Ave. in Silver Spring.  Two suspects approached the victims on bicycles.  They displayed knives and demanded money.  The victims complied and the suspects left on their bicycles.  Both suspects were described as black males wearing black shirts and blue jeans.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 01-04-04, at 9:30 p.m., a 49-year-old White Oak woman was the victim of a strong-arm robbery in the 10800 block of Lockwood Dr., in White Oak.  Two suspects approached her from behind and they grabbed her purse.  The first suspect was described as black male, 5’9”, wearing dark clothing.  The suspects fled in an unknown direction.  

            -On 01-03-04, at 9:02 p.m., the 7-11 store, located at 10203 New Hampshire Ave. in Hillandale, was robbed. A lone suspect (M, 30, 5’8”, 140 lbs., black ski mask, black jacket, brown or black clothing) was shoplifting and the clerk yelled for him to leave. The suspect and the clerk began pushing each other.  The suspect left the store with property and was last seen southbound on New Hampshire Avenue towards Powder Mill Road.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ARREST 

            -On 12-31-03, Rabi De Jesus Quintanilla, age 29, of the 10600 block of Shasta Ct., in Damascus, was arrested and charged with First-Degree Assault, Second-Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. The arrest was a result of an incident that occurred in the unit block of W. Deer Park Rd. in Gaithersburg.

 

BURGLARY/ARREST 

            -On 01-03-04, Thomas Taylor, age 40, of no current fixed address, was arrested and charged with Fourth-Degree Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property.  The arrest was the result of an incident at the Church of the Ascension of God, 202 N. Summit Ave., in Gaithersburg.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -TRAVILAH BEER AND WINE, 10046 Darnestown Rd., Rockville, between 11:00 p.m. on 12-30-03 and 6:55 a.m. on 12-31-03. Broke through door, nothing taken.

            -PANERA, 14921 Shady Grove Rd., Rockville, between 8:30 p.m. on 12-24-03 and 5:00 a.m. on 12-26-03. Unknown entry, cash taken.  

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -13900 block of Natia Manor Dr., Potomac, between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on 12-30-03. Pried lock on door, purse, cash, DVD player, and computer taken.

            -9900 block of Potomac Manors Dr., Potomac, between 10:33 p.m. and 10:38 p.m. on 01-04-04. Entered garage, nothing taken.

            -15500 block of Indianola Dr., Rockville, between 8:00 p.m. on 12-27-03 and 7:27 p.m. on 12-29-03. Broke out door, DVD player and VCR taken.

            -11800 block of Ashley Dr., Rockville, between 12:00 p.m. on 12-24-03 and 12:00 p.m. on 12-30- 03. Entered home, jewelry taken.

 

2nd DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -BB&T BANK, 4719 Hampden Lane, Bethesda, between 4:50 p.m. on 01-02-04 and 11:15 a.m. on 01-04-04.  Pried frame on door, unknown what was taken.

            -ROYAL ANGEL NAILS AND DAY SPA, 8227 Woodmont Ave., Bethesda, between 8:30 p.m. on 01-03-04 and 11:00 a.m. on 01-04-04.  Pried frame on door, money and jewelry taken.

            -SANDY NAILS, 7811 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda, between 5:45 p.m. on 01-04-04 and 9:05 a.m. on 01-05-04.  Broke out window, money taken.

            -RETINA CONSULTANTS, 6410 Rockledge Dr., Bethesda, between 5:00 p.m. on 01-02-04 and 11:30 a.m. on 01-05-04.  Pried lock on door, money taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -7000 block of Braeburn Ct., Bethesda, between 2:00 p.m. on 12-24-03 and 1:00 p.m. on 01-04-04.  Forced door, television taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT  

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY  

            -IGLESIA DE RESTAURACION (CHURCH), 880 Bonifant St., Silver Spring, between 9:00 p.m. on 12-31-03 and 9:00 a.m. on 01-01-04. Broke out window, video camera, computer, boom box, CDs, cassettes, VCR tapes, bibles, and microphone taken.

            -BURTONSVILLE BAPTIST CHURCH, 3400 Spencerville Rd., Burtonsville, at 1:09 a.m. at 01-01-04. Pried open door, nothing taken.

            -MD NAILS, 8423 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, between 8:00 p.m. on 12-31-03 and 10:20 a.m. on 01-02-04. Pried open door, cash and cash register taken.  

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -2100 block of Seminary Rd. Silver Spring, between 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 01-20-04. Attempt only, pried frame.

            -400 block of Greenbrier Dr., Silver Spring, between 2:00 p.m. on 01-02-04 and 10:00 p.m. on 01-04-04.  Entered home, computer taken.

            -1900 block of Elkhart St., Silver Spring, between 6:45 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on 01-03-04. Reached through window, cell phone, wallet, coat, and bag taken.

 

5TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -23500 block of Rolling Fork Way, Gaithersburg, between 11:30 p.m. on 01-02-04 and 7:15 a.m. on 01-03-04. Entered garage, money taken.

            -19200 block of Circle Gate Dr., Germantown, between 5:00 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. on 01-06-04.  Forced door, money taken.

            -12200 block of Eagles Nest Ct., Germantown, between 8:00 p.m. on 01-05-04 and 12:00 p.m. on 01-06-04.  Attempt only, removed screen.

            -19400 block of St. Johnsbury Lane, Germantown, between 7:00 p.m. on 01-03-04 and 7:30 a.m. on 01-04-04.  Forced door on shed, power tools taken.

            -8800 block of Cross Country Pl., Gaithersburg, between 11:00 a.m. on 01-04-04 and 9:30 a.m. on 01-05-04.  Pried open door, mantle taken. 

 

6TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -WASHINGTONIAN LUBE CENTER, 10007 Fields Rd., Gaithersburg, between 8:40 p.m. on 01-03-04 and 9:38 a.m. on 01-04-04. Unknown entry, cash taken.

            -POTOMAC INSURANCE, INC., 903 Russell Ave., Gaithersburg, between 5:30 p.m. on 11-21-03 and 7:15 a.m. on 11-24-03.  Pried door, computer equipment taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -Unit block of School Dr., Gaithersburg, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on 01-03-04.  Twisted lock, purse and money taken.

            -7800 block of Miller Fall Rd., Derwood, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 01-01-04.  Entered garage, dirt bike taken.
