ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 01-12-04, at 3:21 a.m., the 7-11 Store, located at 10524 Connecticut Ave. in Kensington was robbed. A lone suspect (W/M, 24-26, 5’9”-5’10”, 160-170 lbs., stocky build, blue jeans, dark blue hooded sweat shirt, blue and white bandana over mouth, stocking cap on head, hiking boots, tan glove on left hand, white bandage around right hand) entered the store and produced a knife and announced a robbery. He demanded the cash drawer and the 2 clerks complied. The suspect fled the store possibly toward the rear parking lot.

           -On 01-10-04, at 3:20 p.m., a 22 year-old Germantown woman was walking on Watkins Mill Rd near Crested Iris Dr. in Montgomery Village when she was approached from behind by a suspect. The suspect (Hispanic/M, 20s, 5’7”, 200 lbs., black puffy jacket, nylon over face) knocked the victim down. The suspect pulled out a box cutter knife and demanded her purse. He grabbed her purse and CD player. He was last seen in the golf course area. 

            -On 01-10-04, at 10:35 p.m., the Blockbuster Video store, located at 5576 Norbeck Rd. in Rockville was robbed. Two suspects entered the store and Suspect #1 (B/M, 20-30, 5’7”-5’8”, 150-160 lbs., gray hoodie, gray scarf, black scull cap) displayed a gun and threw the clerk to the floor. The victim was not able to open the safe as requested. The suspects took cash from the drawers and disconnected the phones. The victim was struck by one of the suspects. The suspect left the store in an unknown direction. Suspect #2 was described as a black male, 20-30, short, heavy, and dark hoody.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 01-04-04, at 9:45 p.m., a 22-year-old Gaithersburg man observed a fight between 2 individuals in the parking lot at the 300 block of E. Diamond Avenue. When he tried to intervene and break it up, he was stabbed with a knife by one of the suspects. He was taken to the local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
        Suspect #1 – Hispanic/M, 5’9”, Green Bay Packers jacket, dark pants
        Suspect #2 – Hispanic/M, 5’6”, no shirt, dark pants.

1ST DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY  

            -BEER AND WINE STORE, 802 Rockville Pike in Rockville, between 01-11-04 and 1:30 a.m. on 01-12-04. Rear door entry, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -8100 block of Inverness Ridge Rd. in Potomac, between 2:00 p.m. on 01-05-04 and 4:30 p.m. on 01-09-04. Unlocked rear door, stereo/CD/DVD combo, stereo taken.


2ND DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -STROMBOLI RESTAURANT, 7023 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda, between 11:00 p.m. on 01-09-04 and 10:00 a.m. on 01-10-04. Pried open screen on side window, nothing taken.

            -WIMSATT & ASSOCIATES, 4230 Howard Ave. in Kensington, between 3:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on 01-12-04. Broke through front window, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -5900 block of Lone Oak Dr. in Bethesda, between 8:45 p.m. on 01-11-04 and 2:00 a.m. on 01-12-04. Tear door entry, Playstation, cash taken.

            -9900 block of Marquette Dr. in Bethesda, between 9:00 a.m. on 12-15-03 and 01-05-04. Broke through front door, nothing taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -4400 block of Regalwood Terrace in Burtonsville, between 8:20 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on 01-07-04. Pried frame on basement door, Playstation and games taken.

            -800 block of Daleview Dr. in Silver Spring, between 2:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on 01-10-04. Broke out side window, computer, purse, cell phone, cash, sneakers taken.

            -400 block of Neale Ave. in Silver Spring, at 4:00 a.m. on 01-10-04. Twist knob, nothing taken.

            -8600 block of Carroll Ave. in Silver Spring, between noon and 12:15 p.m. on 01-09-04. Broke through rear door, coins, DVD player, wallet, boots taken.

 

4TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -19800 block of New Hampshire Ave. in Brinklow, between 1:00 p.m. on 12-26-03 and 9:00 p.m. on 12-26-03. Entered garage, tongs taken, Pried door to Travel trailer.

            -1300 block of Elm Grove Circle in Silver Spring, between 6:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on 01-06-04. Unknown entry, Playstation and games, DVDs taken.

 

5TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -11400 block of Stoney Point Place in Germantown, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on 01-08-04. Entered rear sliding glass door, Nintendo and games taken.

            -18700 block of Martin’s Landing Dr. in Germantown, at 1:04 a.m. on 01-12-04. Unlocked rear door, keys taken.

            -18700 block of martin’s Landing Dr. in Germantown, between 8:30 p.m. on 01-08-04 and 5:45 p.m. on 01-09-04. Broke through basement door, Xbox and games taken.

            -18600 block of Bay Leaf Way in Germantown, between noon on 12-25-03 and 7:37 p.m. on 01-08-04. Broke through sliding glass door, stereo, Playstation, telephone, tools taken.

            -18700 block of Caledonia Ct. in Germantown, at 12:30 a.m. on 01-13-04. Opened up rear window, nothing taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -400 block of Sanders Lane in Gaithersburg, between 3:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on 01-09-04. Broke out rear window, nothing taken.

            -Unit block of Cross Country Ct. in Gaithersburg, between 7:10 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. on 01-07-04. Unknown entry, PS2 games, shoes taken.

            -Unit block of Mills Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 1:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on 01-09-04. Climbed through rear window, cash taken.
