ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 01-31-04, at 4:17 p.m., the Rite Aid Drug Store, located at 9840 Main St. in Damascus was robbed. A lone suspect (W/M, 25-35, 6’0”, gray jacket, black pants, blue hat white gloves) entered the store and posed as a customer. He implied a weapon and vaulted the counter at the pharmacy. He took prescription drugs from the pharmacy. The suspect fled out the store and ran across the parking lot toward the Safeway store.

3RD DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -ADDITIONAL HAIR CLINIC, 1109 Spring Sr. in Silver Spring, between 7:30 p.m. on 01-28-04 and 10:00 a.m. on 01-29-04. Pried lock on front door, cash, briefcase, book bag, shavers taken.

 

5TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -11700 block of Rose Arbor Ct. in Germantown, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on 01-27-04. Pried open door, tools and movies taken.

            -18700 block of Pike View Dr. in Germantown, between 01-14-04 and 01-24-04. Shimmied basement door, camera, cash, jewelry taken.

            -7500 block of Damascus Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 4:00 p.m. and 9:21 p.m. on 01-28-04. Garage entry, nothing taken.

            -11400 block of Herefordshire Way in Germantown, at 10:30 a.m. on 01-31-04. Broke out side glass door, nothing taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT  

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -THE PET CENTER, 632 Quince Orchard Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 6:45 p.m. on 01-27-04 and 8:50 a.m. on 01-28-04. Broke out side window, cash taken.
 

BURGLARY ARREST

            -On 01-30-04, Mark M. Lopez age 26, of the 19500 block of Frederick Rd. in Germantown, was arrested and charged with 1st, 3rd, and 4th Degree Burglary and Theft Under $500. The arrest was a result of an attempt burglary in the 19500 block of Frederick Rd. in Germantown.
