The Montgomery County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center is fortunate to have advancement opportunities for all employees. Career progression begins as a Police Telecommunicator I (PT1), with automatic advancements to the ranks of PT2 and PT3. The PT3 has additional duties as a lead worker in being certified as a Communications Training Officer.  This position provides daily instruction to new employees who are in training.emergency communications center 

Further career opportunities are achieved through a competitive process to the ranks of Supervisor and finally, Manager.

Both the Supervisor and the Manager are part of the
9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center Leadership Management Team that oversees the entire division and reports to the Director of Communications.
