RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

January 13, 2006 

 

ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 01-04-06, at 8:35 p.m., a 16-year-old Germantown youth was in the laundry room of the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Dr. in Germantown when he was approached by several suspects. One displayed a gun and demanded money. A cell phone and cash was taken from the victim. All suspect then fled toward the local 7-Eleven store.
            -Suspects all – B/M  (NFD of other suspects.) 

            -On 01-07-06, at 9:30 p.m., a driver for Dominos Pizza in Silver Spring was attempting to make a delivery to the 1700 block of Overlook Dr. in Silver Spring when he was confronted by two suspects. Suspect #1 implied a gun and demanded cash. They took a cell phone and cash from the victim. The suspects then fled on-foot in an unknown direction.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, dark clothing, black hooded sweatshirt.  (NFD of other suspects.) 

            -On 01-07-06, at 8:48 p.m., a 72-year-old Silver Spring woman was in the 1400 block of Blair Mill Rd. in Silver Spring when she was approached by 3 suspects. The suspect from a red vehicle brandished a gun and demanded a purse. The suspect took the bag and jumped back into the red vehicle. The car headed toward Eastern Avenue.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, 18-20, dark clothes.  (NFD of other suspects.) 

            -On 01-06-06, at 9:40 p.m., an employee for Pizza Hut in Silver Spring was walking nearby on Eastern Ave. when two suspects approached him. Suspect #1 displayed a silver handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over cash. Both suspects left toward Georgia Ave. in a silver minivan.
            Suspect #1 – B/M, 5’5”, 150lbs., thin, gray jacket.  (NFD of other suspect.) 

            -On 01-05-06, at 10:10 p.m., a 55 year-old Germantown man was holding a party when four suspects knocked on the door. They forced there way into the home and demanded the victim open his safe. He complied and cash was obtained by the suspects. The suspects then fled the scene in a black Jeep Liberty, SUV, with Md. Tags.
-Suspect #1 – B/M, 6’1”, 180 lbs., thin Ski mask, black gloves, jacket and pants. NFD of other suspects 

            -On 01-06-06, at 11:37 p.m., a driver for Dominos Pizza in Germantown was making a delivery to the 18000 block of Chalet Dr. in Germantown when he was approached by a suspect from behind. The suspect displayed small handgun and demanded cash. The victim threw the pizza bag at the suspect and the suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
            -Suspect #1 – M, 5’10”, long black coat, black mask, black pants.  

            -On 01-06-06, at 6:30 p.m., a 16-year-old Silver Spring youth was in the 8800 block of Piney Branch Rd. in Silver Spring when three suspects approached from the front. They took his phone and would not return it. The victim followed the suspects for a while, but one suspect displayed a knife and threatened to stab the victim.
-Suspect #1 – B/M, 5’6”-5’8”, thin, black jacket and pants. NFD of other suspects. 

            -On 01-07-06, at 6:20 p.m., a 23-year-old Germantown woman was in the parking lot of the 18500 block of Tarragon Way in Germantown when he was approached by three suspects. Suspect #1 hit the victim with a stick and took a lighter and keys from the victim. The suspects then fled in different directions. 
     -Suspect #1 – B/M, 17-18, 5’9”-6’0”, 170-190 lbs., zipped black hoodie.
            -Suspect #2 – B/M, 17-18, same description. NFD of other suspects. 

            -On 01-06-06, at 11:25 p.m., a 36 year-old Rockville man, who works for Dominos pizza in Germantown, was making a delivery to the 19600 block of Musser Ct. in Germantown when he was approached by several suspects. They hit him over the head with a metal pole and took his vehicle. The suspects drove the stolen vehicle, a 1999 black Chevy Tracker, towards Bowman Ridge Drive.
            -Suspect #1 – Asian/M, 20-24, 5’9”-6’0”, 150-170 lbs., blue jeans, blue T-shirt, black baseball hat.
NFD of other suspects.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 01-05-06, at 5:00 p.m., a 54 year-old Gaithersburg woman was walking on Muddy Branch Rd. near Diamondback Dr. in Gaithersburg when a male suspect knocked her down. He took church documents written in Chinese. The suspect then ran away in an unknown direction.             

            -On 01-06-06, at 3:00 p.m., a 13 year-old Silver Spring youth reported via his mother that he had beaten up and robbed of his sneakers by 2 suspects in the area of Gateshead Manor Way and Aston Manor Way in Silver Spring.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, 14-15, 4’5”-5’0”, skinny, black and gray Northface jacket.
            -Suspect #2 – same description. 

            -On 01-05-06, at 7:00 a.m., a 23 year-old Burtonsville woman was in the rear of the 13800 block of Outlet Dr. in Silver Spring when a suspect approached and grabbed her purse. The suspect ran towards Castle Boulevard.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, 20s, 5’11”-6’0”, 170-180 lbs., black jacket, blue jeans, black shoes.

 

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 11-25-05, a commercial burglary occurred at the Pizza Hut, located at 19753 Frederick Road in Germantown.  The suspect entered the restaurant, opened the safe, and took cash.  Marco Carlos Boone, 35, of the 19600 block of Scenery Drive in Germantown was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree burglary.
