RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

January 20, 2006 

SEX OFFENSE 

            -On 01-08-06, at 6:10 a.m., a 48-year-old Silver Spring woman was at a bus stop on Georgia Ave. when a suspect began to touch her inappropriately. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
            -Suspect #1 – W/M, 5’2”, 125-135 lbs., beard, thin, tan pants, backpack, Indian decent. 

            -On 01-06-06, at 8:07 p.m., a 39-year-old Damascus mother reported that she and her 16-year-old daughter were walking in the 700 block of Clopper Rd. when a suspect approached and tried to kiss the daughter. He tried to hit the mother. The suspect ran off towards the Quince Orchard Shopping Center.
            -Suspect: H/M, 20’s, NFD

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ARREST 

            -On 01-11-06, a 52-year-old Gaithersburg man, of the 200 block of Gold Kettle Dr. in Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd degree Assault. The arrest was a result of a domestic dispute that had just occurred in that location.

            -On 01-04-06, Jessie Lyndel Allen, age 19, of the 12800 block of Locbury Circle in Germantown and Antoine Germanine Ambush, age 19, of the 8200 block of Shady Spring Dr. in Gaithersburg were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. Also arrested was Toney Arnette Ingram, age 27, of the 20200 block of Shipley Terrace in Germantown. He was charged with 2^nd degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct. The arrests were a result of an incident at Aircraft Dr. and Century Blvd. in Germantown that had just occurred.

            -On 01-06-06, Damien Cordell Gaither, age 23, of the 3400 block of Bantry Way in Olney was arrested and charged with Auto Theft, Theft over $500, 2^nd degree Assault, 2^nd degree Arson, Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle, Malicious Burn over $1000, Robbery, Carjacking, and False statement to a law enforcement officer. The arrest was a result of a carjacking in the Unit block of Olney Sandy Spring Rd. in Ashton that had just occurred. 

            -On 01-07-06, Juan Flores-Tores, age 35, of the 200 block of E. Franklin Ave. in Silver Spring was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd degree Assault. The arrest was a result of a domestic incident that had just occurred at that location. 

            -On 01-07-06, at 10:40 p.m., Rosa Candida Alvarez, age 30, of the 900 block of Westside Dr. in Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd Assault, Reckless Endangerment, 2 counts of Malicious Destruction of property and Fleeing the scene of an accident. The arrest was a result of an incident that had just occurred in the 200 block of West Side Drive in Gaithersburg. 

            -On 01-07-06, Jesse Antoine Person, age 27, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with 1 count of 1^st degree Assault, 2 counts of 2^nd degree Assault, and Resisting Arrest. The arrest was a result of an assault by the defendant on a female acquaintance at the parking garage at RIO in Gaithersburg. 

            -On 01-06-06, Wayne Garrett Mercer, Jr., age 39, of the unit block of Water St. in Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd degree Assault. The arrest was a result of a domestic dispute that had just occurred at that location. 

            -On 01-01-06, at 12:24 a.m., Ray Allen Sandwick, age 54, of the 21900 block of Beallsville Rd. in Barnesville was arrested and charged with 1^st degree Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property, Fail to obey a lawful order, Alcohol/Intoxication, Endangerment, Possession of CDS paraphernalia, and Possession of Hypodermic syringes. The arrest was a result of an assault and battery between the defendant and another man in the 2300 block of Ross Road that had just occurred. 

            -On 01-07-06, Alvaro Maurice Quinonez, age 22, of the 12600 block of Denley Rd. in Wheaton was arrested and charged with Burglary, Theft, Malicious Destruction of Property, and False Report of a crime. The arrest was a result of an incident in the 2300 block of Pondside Terrace in Silver Spring.
