RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

February 4, 2005

RAPE

            -On 02-01-05, at 4:00 p.m., a 32-year-old Rockville woman was walking on Twinbrook Parkway, when the suspect asked her to get in the van. The suspect later attempted to rape her. The victim was able to get out the van, and walk to a nearby apartment for help.
            Suspect #1 – W/M, 30s, 5’5”-5’8”, 150-175 lbs., tan uniform, black shoes.

DOMESTIC AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ARRESTS 

            -On 01-29-05, a 31-year-old man from Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with Fourth-degree Sexual Assault, three counts of Second-degree Assault, and two counts of Malicious Destruction of Property under $500. The arrest was a result of a domestic assault between the defendant and his girl friend, and two juveniles in Gaithersburg.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT - DOMESTIC 

-On 02-01-05, at 10:10 p.m., a 40-year-old female from Gaithersburg was assaulted by her boyfriend at a residence on S. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg.  The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation continues.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT           

-On 02-01-05, at 5:30 p.m., a 13-year-old Germantown youth was walking on Fox Chapel Dr. in Germantown when he heard a noise and felt a pain in his leg. His father took him to the local hospital where it was determined that he had been shot by a pellet gun. There is no information on suspects.

            -12600 block of Tobytown Dr. in Potomac, between 9:20 p.m. on 01-30-05 and 1:25 p.m. on 01-31-05. Forced entry, nothing taken.

            -13200 block of Copland Ct. in the Fairland area of Silver Spring, between 7:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on 02-02-05. Forced entry, property taken.

            -1900 block of Alabaster Dr. in the Fairland area of Silver Spring, between 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 02-01-05. Forced entry, property taken.

            -14100 block of Rippling Brook Dr. in Layhill area of Wheaton, between midnight on 12-30-04 and 11:59 p.m. on 01-17-05. Forced entry, property taken.
