ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 02-04-04, at 6:00 p.m., the Parking Garage booth, located at 1215 Fiddler Lane in Silver Spring was robbed. A lone suspect (Hispanic/M, 30, 5’6”-5’7”, 160 lbs., mustache, gray knit hat, ¾ length green coat, blue jeans) approached the booth, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The victim complied. The suspect then pointed the gun at a customer and demanded his wallet. The victim complied. The suspect then ran on Ramsey Ave. towards Georgia Avenue.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 02-04-04, at 10:45 a.m., a 38-year-old Laurel, Maryland man was the victim of an aggravated assault near Interstate 270 and Route 27 in Germantown.  The victim was driving with his passenger in the area of I-270 and Route 27 when he was followed by a pick-up truck. When they reached the intersection of Route 27 and Observation Drive, the victim got out to see what the problem was.  At that point, the suspect, a white male, 30-39 years of age, wearing a baseball cap, accelerated his truck and hit the victim. The pick-up was described as a blue Dodge Dakota with South Carolina registration.  It was last seen traveling north on Route 27.

1ST DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -12800 block of Maidens Bower Dr., Potomac, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on 02-04-04. Entered through door, money taken.

 

2ND DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -8800 block of Brierly Rd., North Chevy Chase, between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. on 01-30-04. Pried frame on door, jewelry and money taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -9200 block of Columbia Blvd., Silver Spring, between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on 02-02-04. Twisted knob on door, purse and wallet taken.

            -900 block of Tanley Dr., Silver Spring, between 01-15-04 and 02-02-04, during unknown times. Broke through door, nothing taken.

            -8900 block of Walden Rd., Silver Spring, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. on 02-05-04. Forced open door, Playstation and games taken.

            -3200 block of Tapestry Circle, Silver Spring, between 6:40 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 02-02-04. Kicked in door, Playstation and games taken.

            -10300 block of Julep Ave. in Silver Spring, between 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 02-04-04. Broke through door, money taken.

 

5TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -CLARKSBURG GROCERIES, 23329 Frederick Rd., Clarksburg, at 1:37 a.m. on 02-05-04. Pried lock on door, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -18700 block of Martins Landing Dr., Germantown, at 11:30 p.m. on 02-04-04. Entered home, cell phone, ski equipment, CD player, toaster taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -Unit block of Irish Ct., Gaithersburg, on 01-30-04. Broke out door, unknown what was taken.

            -9000 block of Bramble Bush Ct., Gaithersburg, at 9:30 a.m. on 02-02-04. Broke through door, nothing taken.
