BANK ROBBERY
-On
02-10-04, at 6:30 p.m., the Wacovia Bank, located at 10540
Connecticut Ave. in Kensington, was robbed. A lone suspect, who was
wearing a mask, approached an employee as he was leaving and
demanded money. The employee complied. After obtaining an
undisclosed amount of money, the suspect left the bank in an unknown
direction. The suspect was described as a black male, 6’0”, 250
pounds, wearing a black mask and purple shirt.
-On 02-12-04, at 1:50 p.m., the Columbo
Bank, located at 14801 Southlawn Lane in Rockville, was robbed. A
lone suspect (M, 20s, 5’7”, 150-160 lbs., dark complexion, all black
clothing, mask, handgun, winter jacket, Army-style baggy pants)
entered the bank and displayed a handgun. He walked behind the
counter and removed an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect
left the bank in an unknown direction.
ARMED ROBBERY
-On
02-11-04, at 8:20 p.m., the Papa John’s Pizza, located at 15430 Old
Columbia Pike in Silver Spring was robbed. A lone suspect (B/M,
20-30, 5’10”, 160-180 lbs., black mask and gloves, blue jeans)
entered the store wearing a mask, displayed a handgun, and demanded
money. He then ran into the parking lot and entered a silver Ford
Tarus with Maryland registration.
-On 02-09-04, at 10:10
a.m., a 17-year-old Montgomery Village youth was the victim of an
armed robbery in the 300 block of South Frederick Avenue in
Gaithersburg. One suspect was armed with a knife and he held it
against the victim. They demanded money and the victim complied.
The first suspect was a Hispanic male, 18-years, 5’9”, 200 pounds,
wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. The second suspect was a
Hispanic male, 18-years, 6’0”, 160 pounds, wearing a dark-colored
shirt and blue jeans. Both suspects left in an unknown direction.
-On 02-12-04, at approximately 10:00
p.m., a 36-year-old Rockville woman was the victim of an armed
robbery on the access road from Ardennes Avenue unto the Twinbrook
Metro lot in Rockville. The suspect approached the victim,
displayed a knife, and demanded her purse. The victim complied. The
suspect was last seen running towards Halpine Road. The suspect was
described as a black male, 6’0” to 6”1”, wearing dark-colored
clothing.
STRONG ARM ROBBERY
-On
02-09-04, at 8:30 p.m., a 30-year-old Wheaton woman was the victim
of a strong-arm robbery in the 12200 block of Judson Road in
Wheaton. Two suspects approached the victim, grabbed her purse, and
struggle ensued. The suspects gained control of the purse. Both
suspects were last seen running on Judson Road. The first suspect
was a black male, 16-18 years, 5’10”, thin build, wearing
dark-colored clothing. The second suspect was a black male, 24
years, 6’0”, thin build, wearing dark-colored clothing.

-11100 block of Markwood Dr., Wheaton, between 7:15 a.m. and 2:30
p.m. on 01-29-04. Broke through window, Playstation, sneakers,
brandy, and clothing taken.
-2900 block of Birch Tree Lane, Wheaton, at 8:44 p.m. on
02-04-04. Entered home, unknown what was taken.
-2800 block of Weisman Rd., Wheaton, between 5:00 p.m. on 01-31-04
and 3:30 p.m. on 02-05-04. Broke through, nothing taken.
-4900 block of Dowlais Ct.,
Rockville, between 12:00 p.m. on 01-03-04 and 12:00 p.m. on
01-14-04. Entered garage, tags from vehicle taken.
-10500 block of Tenbrook Dr., Silver Spring, between 9:00 a.m. and
6:00 p.m. on 02-09-04. Twist knob on door, computers, cameras, DVD
player, CD player, Diskman taken.
-13600 block of Mills Ave., Silver Spring, between 10:30 a.m. and
noon on 02-09-04. Attempt only, pried door.
-12800 block of Parkland Dr., Rockville, between 8:45 a.m. and 1:50
p.m. on 02-09-04. Climbed through window, shoes, Playstation games
taken.

LODGE #194, 20516 Boland Farm Rd., Germantown, between 8:00 p.m. on
02-03-04 and unknown time on 02-06-04. Broke out window, unknown
amount taken.
RESIDENTIAL
BURGLARY
-20000 block of Frederick Rd., Germantown, between 12:00 p.m. and
9:30 p.m. on 02-11-04. Broke through door, Playstation and games,
DVDs, taken.

BURGLARY
-WHETSTONE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 19300 Thomas Farm in Montgomery
Village, between 7:00 p.m. on 02-08-04 and 5:50 a.m. on 02-09-04.
Broke out front door, TV taken.
