RECENT CRIME SUMMARY
February 15,
2005
BANK ROBBERY
-On 02-10-05, at 1:00 p.m., the Provident
Bank, located at 18261 Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg, was robbed.
A lone suspect entered the bank and approached a teller with a note
that demanded cash. The victim complied. The suspect then left the
bank and fled in an unknown direction.
-Suspect #1 – W/M, 22-27, 5’8”-6’0”, 230-250 lbs.,
goatee, black T-shirt, black hat, sideburns, gold chain and watch.
ARMED ROBBERY
-On
02-10-05, at 9:00 p.m., the Flower Hill Liberty Service Station,
located at 18267 Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg was robbed. A lone
suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.
The clerk placed cash into a bag. The suspect ran out the front
door.
-Suspect #1 – Unknown Race, M, 5’11”, 180 lbs., black
winter jacket with hood, black bandana covering lower face, glasses.
STRONG ARM ROBBERY
-On 02-08-05, at 10:10 p.m., the Shell
Service Station, located at 11150 New Hampshire Ave. in Silver
Spring was robbed. Two suspects walked into the station and went
behind the counter. One suspect grabbed the victim while the 2nd
suspect grabbed the register drawer and a cell phone. Neither
suspect said anything. The victim observed the suspects run to the
rear of the station and then to the McDonalds parking lot.
-Suspects #1 and #2 – B/M, 16-18, 6’0”, 135-145 lbs., black jacket,
black ski mask.
-On 02-07-05, at 1:30 p.m., two students,
ages 15 and 16, were walking in the 7200 block of Wisconsin Ave. in
Bethesda, when 3 Hispanic males approached and asked for money. The
victims said they had none. When the suspects continued to follow
them, the victims handed over some pocket change and ducked in a sub
shop and called police.
-Suspects #1, #2, and #3 – Hispanic/M, 16-years-old,
5’6”, 150 lbs., short black hair, all black clothing.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ARREST
-On 02-08-05, at 4:45 p.m., Brian Travis
White, age 19, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with 1st
degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment. The arrest was a result of
an incident at “Progress Place”, a homeless shelter, in Silver
Spring where the defendant waived a silver BB gun and threatened
several occupants of the home.
SEX ASSAULT
-On
02-01-05, an 18-year-old Rockville youth reported that while at the
Noyes Center in Rockville approximately 1 year ago, he was sexually
assaulted by another subject at the center. The suspect’s identity
is not known and the investigation is continuing.

-6100 block of London Lane in Bethesda,
between 8:00 a.m. on 01-23-05 and 4:00 p.m. on 02-06-05. Forced
entry, property taken.
