ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 03-03-04, at 11:10 p.m., a 38-year-old Silver Spring man was jogging on the side walk that parallels LongMead Crossing Dr. approximately 100 yards north of Wimbledon Dr. when 2 suspects approached. Both suspects (B/M, 20-25, 6’1”, slim black clothing) approached from behind and one displayed a long barrel handgun. They went through the victim’s pockets but a fire engine appeared and the suspect ran off towards the townhouses. No property was taken.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 03-05-04, at 12:15 p.m., a 35-year-old Washington, D.C. woman was getting into her vehicle in the 5100 block of Nicholson Lane in Rockville when she was approached by a suspect. The suspect (B/M, 25-30, 5’8”-5’10”, all black clothing, black backpack, black skullcap) grabbed the victim’s purse and ran on Nicholson Lane towards Boiling Brook Parkway.

1ST DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -OCR SERVICES, 15825 Shady Grove Rd. in Rockville, between 9:00 p.m. on 03-02-04 and 9:15 a.m. on 03-03-04. Attempt pry double front door, nothing taken.

 

2ND DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -WORLD MARKET, 8125 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda, at 12:10 a.m. on 03-04-04. Broke through side door, unknown amount taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -5400 block of Audubon Rd. in Bethesda, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on 03-02-04.  Pried open rear door, computer taken.

            -2615 block of East West Highway in Chevy Chase, between 6:30 p.m. on 03-10-04 and 8:40 a.m. on 03-04-04. Broke out basement door, alcohol, CD player, CDs, toolbox taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -BURNT MILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 11211 Childs St. in Silver Spring, between 6:00 p.m. on 03-01-04 and 2:00 a.m. on 03-02-04. Climbed through rear window, unknown amount taken.

            -MATAN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, INC., 12510 Prosperity Dr. in Silver Spring, Broke through front door, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -Unit block of Childress Ct. in Burtonsville, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on 03-01-04. Pried open basement door, jewelry taken.

            -8700 block of Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring, between 11:30 p.m. on 02-28-04 and 1:00 p.m. on 03-01-04. Unlocked front door, jewelry taken.

            -3600 block of Childress Terrace in Burtonsville, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on 03-01-04. Pried open rear sliding glass door, cash and jewelry taken.

            -4200 block of Red Maple Ct. in Burtonsville, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on 03-10-04. Pried open rear sliding glass door, camera, cash, backpack, jewelry taken.

            -3400 block of Bruton Parish Way in Silver Spring, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. on 03-01-04. Broke through sliding door, cash and alcoholic beverage taken.

            -13900 block of Castle Blvd. in Silver Spring, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. on 03-03-04. Forced open front door, camera, DVD player taken.

 

4TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -GIGI’S BEAUTY SUPPLY, 13822 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring, between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on 03-02-04. Broke out front glass door, cash and cash register taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -10800 block of Georgia Ave. in Wheaton, between 12:01 a.m. on 02-10-04 and 5:00 p.m. on 02-25-04. Front door entry, camera taken.

            -14900 block of Notley Rd. in Silver Spring, between 5:20 p.m. on 02-28-04 and 3:00 p.m. on 03-03-04. Broke out side window, cash taken.

            -3200 block of Damascus Rd. in Sunshine, between 11:00 a.m. on 02-27-04 and 11:00 a.m. on 03-02-04. Broke through rear door, jewelry taken.

            -10900 block of Inwood Ave. in Wheaton, between 2:45 p.m. on 02-27-04 and 5:30 a.m. on 02-28-04. Broke through rear door, microwave taken.

            -13900 block of North Gate Dr. in Silver Spring, between 10:20 a.m. and 10:25 a.m. on 03-02-04. Rear door entry, nothing taken.

            -18400 block of Mink Hollow Rd. in Ashton, between 3:00 p.m. on 02-01-04 and 3:00 p.m. on 02-22-04. Attempt to pry open shed in yard, no entry.

            -3200 block of Bustletone Lane in Silver Spring, between 10:30 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. on 02-26-04. Broke through rear window, cash, foreign cash, clothing, jewelry, suitcases, tablecloth, liquor taken.

            -12600 block of Farnell Dr. in Silver Spring, between 6:00 p.m. on 02-25-04 and 7:00 a.m. on 02-26-04. Opened garage door, nothing taken.

            -1200 block of Windmill Lane in Silver Spring, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on 02-26-04. Forced open rear basement door, Playstation, Nintendo, games taken.

            -19300 block of Dimona Dr. in Brookeville, between 5:00 p.m. on 03-01-04 and 4:00 a.m. on 03-02-04. Turn knob on front shed door, gas taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -100 block of Corning Lane in Gaithersburg, between 12:01 a.m. and noon on 02-27-04. Broke into vehicle in detached garage, purse, CDs, sunglasses, wallet, cash, palm pilot, make-up taken.

 

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 03-03-04, Jacob Joseph Linehan, age 21, of the 4100 block of Woodbine St. in Chevy Chase was arrested and charged with 1st and 3rd Degree Burglary, Destruction of Property, receiving a stolen credit card, and possession of payment device numbers. The arrest was a result of a burglary in the 4900 block of Battery Lane in Bethesda.
