RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

 

March 9, 2006

 

COMMERCIAL ARMED ROBBERY 

            On 03-03-06 at 8:24p.m., a suspect entered the Subway Restaurant located at 501 N. Frederick Rd, in Gaithersburg and placed an order. Once the sandwich was prepared, the suspect implied he had a gun and announced the robbery. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store.
            -Suspect is described as an H/M, 20 to 25, 5’10”-6’00”, medium complexion, black jacket, black jeans, and black hat.

 

ARMED ROBBERY 

            On 02-09-06 at 7:40p.m., at Osage Street and Carroll Avenue in Silver Spring, the victim was approached from behind by three black males in dark clothes (NFD). Two suspects produced knives and announced the robbery. The suspects obtained US Currency.
There was no description of any of the suspects.
 

            On 02-10-06 at 4:30p.m., near the circle at Wonderland Way and Dairymaid Drive in Germantown, three victims were approached by 6-10 black males wearing, black ski masks and black jackets.  The suspects displayed two knives and removed property from the victims.
All of the suspects were described as B/M’s, 14-16 years-old. 

            On 02-28-06 at 4:10p.m., in the 700 block of Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg, the suspect approached the victim, displayed a knife and announced the robbery. The suspect obtained US currency from the victim. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
            -Suspect is B/M, 18, 5’6”-5’7”, 140 pounds, wearing a black puffy jacket, black jeans, and black hat. 

            On 02-15-06 at 9:35p.m., in the Unit block of Valleyfield Court in Silver Spring the victim was approached by two black males both wearing a black puffy jacket’s with hoods. Suspect #1 pushed her to the ground and took her purse, the second male displayed a knife. The suspects obtained documents and US Currency and fled to a waiting white SUV.
Suspect #1 was described as a B/M, 5’10”, wearing black.
Suspect #2 was described as a B/M, 5’6”, also wearing black, armed with a knife.           

            On 02-13-06 at 1:35p.m., the victim was walking in a parking lot in the 11300 block of Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring when approached by two suspects, one armed with a knife. The suspects obtained US Currency and fled in an unknown direction.
            -Suspect #1 is a W/Male, 16 to17, 5’6”, 120 pounds thin build, wearing a black Northface Jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, and black skull cap armed with knife.
            -Suspect #2 is a W/M, 27 to 28, 5’8”-5’9”, 160 pounds medium build, with mustache a black afro, wearing blue jeans and green turtleneck shirt. 

            On 02-17-06 at 9:30p.m., in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Routan Street in Silver Spring, the two victims were approached by four suspects who demanded money.  The victims were beat with fists and bricks by the suspects who obtained US Currency and fled in unknown direction.
            -Suspect #1 is a B/M, 20 to 23, 5’4”- 5’5”, 130-140pounds wearing black jeans and a black jacket.
            -Suspect #2 & #3; are described as B/M, 20 to 23, 5’4”-5’5”, 130-140 pounds wearing a black jacket and dark blue jeans.
            -Suspect #4 NFD 

            On 03-01-06 at 9:56p.m., the victim observed three B/M exit a Metro bus just ahead of her, and run down the street. As she was walking in the 2700 block of Snowbird Terrace in Wheaton, she was accosted by three B/M who demanded money. The victim was struck several times, however she fought back and juvenile suspects did not obtain any property.
            -Suspect #1 B/M, 5’8”, thin build, wearing a black jacket
            -Suspect #2 B/M, 6’02”, thin build, wearing white shirt and black pants
            -Suspect #3 B/M (NFD) 

            On 02-14-06 at 9:21p.m., the victim was walking in the 11700 block of Joseph Mill Road in Rockville, when three suspects approached him from behind and hit him repeatedly with a blunt object. Suspects removed money and property from the victim and fled in an unknown direction.
            -Suspect #1 W/M Hispanic origin, 18 to19, 5’9”-5’10”, 180-190 pounds medium build, long black hair, wearing a black Northface jacket, blue jeans, and knit ski mask.
            -Suspect #2 W/M Hispanic origin, 16 to18, 5’7, 160-170 pounds long, long black hair with sideburns wearing white short sleeved T-shirt with black thermal undershirt.
            -Suspect #3 W/M Hispanic origin, 15 to 16, 5’6”-5’8”, 140-150 pounds with very short hair, wearing blue t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black tennis shoes. 

 

STRONG ARMED ROBBERY 

            On 02-23-06 at 1:00p.m., the victim’s purse was snatched in front of the Shoppers Food Warehouse at Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road in Germantown. The two suspects ran to rear of shopping center into the residential neighborhood. Suspects obtained US Currency and other property.
            -Suspect #1 B/M, 16 to 20, 5’8”-6’01” medium build wearing a baggy black jacket and black slacks.
            -Suspect #2 B/M, 17 to 19, 5’8”- 6’00”, heavy build wearing a black jacket, green shirt, and black slacks. 

            On 02-11-06 at 11:15p.m., the victim fell in the snow and once on the ground was attacked by the suspect at the intersection of St Helens Circle and Bel Pre Road in Wheaton. The victim was punched about the face and had his US Currency and property removed. No description of the suspects. 

            On 02-28-06 at 8:30p.m., near the intersection of Thayer Ave and Fenton Street the victim was approached by two suspects and punched about the face. Once knocked to the ground his property was taken. Suspects fled in unknown direction.
            -Suspect #1 Black jacket and blue slacks (NFD)
            -Suspect #2 Black jacket and black slacks  (NFD) 

            On 02-27-06 at 9:45p.m., in the 3300 block of Ferndale Street in Kensington, the victim exited her vehicle and was approached by the suspect who snatched the victim’s purse and fled in an unknown direction.
            -Suspect is described as B/M light complexion, 5’11” 190 to 200 pounds muscular build wearing gray sweatshirt and a black knit hat.

            -1700 block of Hampshire Green Lane in Silver Spring, between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on 03-03-06. Forced entry, no property taken.

            -8700 block of Carroll Avenue in Silver Spring, at 12:09 a.m. on 03-03-06. Forced entry, property taken.

            -8300 block of Colesville Road in Silver Spring, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. on 03-02-05. Forced entry, property taken.

            -12400 block of Lima Drive in Silver Spring, between 7:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on 03-02-06. Forced entry, property taken.

            -4400 block of Regalwood Terrace in Silver Spring, between 9: 45 a.m. and 12:39 p.m. on 03-01-06. Forced entry, property taken.

            -500 block of Thayer Avenue in Silver Spring, at 10:00 a.m. on 02-18-06. Forced entry, property taken.

            -8300 block of Colesville Road in Silver Spring, between unknown hours on an unknown date. Forced entry, property taken.

 

5th DISTRICT

RESIDENTIAL

            -20400 block of Germantown Road in Germantown, between 6:30 p.m. on 02-28-06 and 7:30 a.m. on 03-01-06. Forced entry, no property taken.
