RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

 

March 24, 2006

 

RAPE

            -On 03-13-06, a 22-year-old Gaithersburg woman reported that she had been raped on 03-10-06 at her home in Gaithersburg by a known suspect. The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation is continuing.

 

SEX OFFENSE 

            -On 03-02-06, a 26-year-old woman from Silver Spring reported she had been fondled on 02-17-06 and again on 02-18-06 by a known male suspect who was at the victim’s mother’s home in Rockville. The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation is continuing.

            -On 03-04-06, at 11:50 a.m., a 25-year-old Olney woman was at a salon at the Town Center in Olney and when she stepped out of the salon, a male was standing at the door. The suspect opened his coat and exposed himself. He then fled.
            -Suspect #1 – W/M, 40, green ¾ length jacket, gray sunglasses, thin build. 

            -On 02-26-06, at 9:45 p.m., a 16-year-old Bethesda woman was watching TV in the 10700 block of Pine Haven Terrace in Bethesda when she heard a knock on the sliding glass door. A man was standing in the yard exposing himself.
            -Suspect #1 – Hispanic/M, 6’1”, blue jeans, blue long sleeve shirt. 

            -On 03-09-06, at 5:30 p.m., a 39-year-old Silver Spring woman reported that she was walking across the parking lot of the 1400 block of East West Highway in Silver Spring when she observed a suspect sitting in a white Dodge Ram pick-up masturbating. The pickup truck had diamond plating on the bed and a toolbox in the back.
            -Suspect #1 – W/M, 30-40, blond, mustache. 

            -On 03-08-06, at 4:45 p.m., a 55 year-old Gaithersburg woman reported that a male co-worker walked into her office in Gaithersburg and exposed himself. The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation is continuing.

            -On 03-16-06, a juvenile Bethesda girl reported to her father that she had been touched inappropriately by 2 juvenile males. They had also made inappropriate sexual remarks to the girl. The suspects’ identities are known and the investigation is continuing.

 

ARMED ROBBERY/ARREST

            -On 03-14-06, at 10:24 p.m., Robert Lopez, age 25, of the 800 block of Northampton Dr. in Silver Spring was arrested and charged with armed robbery and theft under $500. The arrest was a result of an incident involving the defendant taking a cell phone from a woman on a bus in the area of Beacon Rd. & North Hampton Drive.

            -On 03-15-06, at 6:45 p.m., Marcus Lorenzo King, age 20, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, 1st degree assault, concealed deadly weapon, and theft over $500. Also arrested was Charles Love age 18, no fixed address. He was charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, 1st degree assault, and theft over $500. The arrests were a result of an assault that had just occurred on a 19-year-old Wheaton male in the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Rd. by the two defendants.

            -On 03-15-06, at 12:30 a.m., Mario Garcia Jr., age 32, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with robbery and 2nd degree assault.  The arrest was a result of a robbery and assault on a taxi cab driver in the 14800 block of Old Columbia Pike in Silver Spring that had just occurred. Both the defendant and the victim were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

            -On 03-10-06, at 1:04 a.m., Jose Miguel Reyes Ramos, age 23, of the 500 block of Eisner St. in Silver Spring was arrested and charged with strong arm robbery. The arrest was a result of a fight at the intersection of University Blvd. W. and Georgia Ave. between the defendant and a 21 year-old Silver Spring man that had just occurred.

            -On 03-04-06, at 11:10 p.m., a 14-year-old male juvenile from Greenbelt, Md. was arrested and charged with armed robbery, strong arm robbery, and 2nd degree assault. The arrest was a result of an incident at the Wheaton Metro that had just occurred where the defendant took a 20 year-old victim’s cell phone and punched him in the face.

            -On 03-14-06, at 1:20 a.m., William Frank DeLoatch, age 31, of Fort Washington, Md. was arrested and charged with 1st degree assault, 1st degree arson attempt, 5 counts of reckless endangerment, 2nd degree assault, possession of cocaine, and 2 counts of possession of CDS paraphernalia. The arrest was a result of a domestic incident in the 1900 block of Rosemary Hills Dr. in Silver Spring that had just occurred.

            -On 03-15-06 at 8:00 p.m., Dennis A. Dominguez, age 22, with no-fixed address was arrested and charged with Peeping Tom and Trespass in the 100 block of Woodland Avenue in Gaithersburg.

            -On 03-16-06 at 10:00 a.m., a 17-year-old juvenile, from Dickerson was arrested and charged with three counts of Burglary and one count of Theft under $100. His arrest was a result of burglary in the 25400 block of Old Hundred Road in Dickenson.

            -On 03-09-06 at 8:00 a.m., a 16-year-old juvenile from Brochart Road in Rockville, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Burglary, and four counts of Possession of a regulated firearm and or ammunition while under the age of 21 years as a result of an incident in the Unit block of Timber Rock Road in Gaithersburg.
