RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

March 28, 2005 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 03-21-05, at 6:45 a.m., a 27-year-old Silver Spring man was asleep in his residence in the 8800 block of Lanier Drive in the Forest Glen Park area of Silver Spring, when the suspect entered through the unlocked front door.  Suspect assaulted the victim, breaking his arm.  It is unknown why the suspect assaulted the victim. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20’s, 5’8” to 6’0”, 130 lbs.

            -CHINESE GOURMET RESTAURANT & BAR, 3739 University Boulevard West in Kensington, between 1:39 a.m. and 1:41 a.m. on 03-23-05.  Forced entry, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            --6500 block of Fallwind Lane in Bethesda, between 12:00 p.m. on 03-21-05 and 8:00 p.m. on 03-22-05.   Forced entry, nothing taken.

            -10600 block of Weymouth Street in Bethesda, between 8:00 a.m. on 03-16-05 and 9:00 p.m. on 03-17-05.  Forced entry, nothing taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -MARROQUIN DENTAL STUDIO, 7906 Georgia Avenue, in Silver Spring, between 6:30 p.m. on 03-25-05 and 11:30 a.m. on 03-26-05.   Possibly used key, property taken.

            -TIAN JIN PALACE, 8411 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, between 11:15 p.m. on 03-23-05 and 10:20 a.m. on 03-24-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -HOBBY CITY RETAIL STORE, 15751 Columbia Pike in Burtonsville, between 10:15 a.m. on 03-24-05 and 9:15 a.m. on 03-25-05.  Forced entry, property taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -2000 block of Alabaster Drive in the Snowden’s Mill area of Silver Spring, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:56 p.m. on 03-25-05.  Force entry, no property taken.

            -2000 block of Sandstone Court in the Snowden’s Mill area of Silver Spring, between 3:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on 03-25-05.  Forced entry, nothing taken.

            -2000 block of Sandstone Court in the Snowden’s Mill area of Silver Spring, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. on 03-23-05.  Forced entry, nothing taken.

            -3500 block of Aston Manor Court in the Knightsbridge area of Silver Spring, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on 03-22-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -1600 block of White Oak Vista Drive in the Gatestone area of Silver Spring, between 12:30 a.m. and 12:43 a.m. on 03-28-05.  No entry.

            -4400 block of Regalwood   Terrace in the Saddle Creek area of Silver Spring, between 7:15 a.m. on 9:49 p.m. on 03-24-05.  Forced entry, nothing taken.
