RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

March 30, 2006

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ARREST

            -On 03-15-06, at 7:35 a.m., Ryan Alexander Jones, age 19, of the 3700 block of Lamberton Square in Silver Spring was arrested and charged with 1^st degree assault, failure to obey lawful order of a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property, and theft under $500. In addition, the defendant was charged with numerous traffic violations. Two additional criminal charges were made: Reckless endangerment and malicious destruction. The arrest was a result of an assault on police officers in the 13800 block of Outlet Dr. in Silver Spring. 

RAPE 

            -On 03-23-06, at 2:00 p.m., a 29-year-old Gaithersburg woman reported she was raped while visiting the suspect (friend) in the area of Redland Road. She reported he had threatened her with a knife before the rape. The suspect’s identity is known by the victim, but she was unwilling to provide any further information. 

            -On 03-22-06, a 13-year-old Gaithersburg female reported that she had been raped by 2 Hispanic/M suspects in a laundry room in the 17000 block of King James Way in Gaithersburg.
            -Suspect #1 – Hispanic/M, 15-18, 5’6”-5’7”, 150-165 lbs., blue jeans, black T-shirt.
            -Suspect #2 – Hispanic/M, 15-18, 5’10”-6’0”, 175-200 lbs., heavy, black T-shirt, blue jeans.

SEX OFFENSE 

            -On 03-22-06, a 14-year-old Germantown girl reported that on 03-11-06 she had been enticed to enter a home under construction in the 800 block of Bayridge Rd. in Germantown by a suspect who appeared to work there. The suspect fondled the victim but she was able to escape.
            -Suspect #1 – Hispanic/M, 21, 5’9”-6’0”, short hair.

ARRESTS 

            -On 03-20-06, at 11:00 a.m., a 14-year-old Silver Spring youth was arrested, charged, and released into his mother’s custody. He was charged with possession of a deadly weapon on school property and 1^st degree assault. The arrest was a result of an incident at Blair High School that had just occurred. 

            -On 03-05-06, at 1:20 a.m., Herman Sewsanker, age 28, of the unit block of W. Deer Park Dr. in Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd degree assault. The arrest was a result of an assault on a family member that had just occurred at the W, Deer Park Dr. address. The victim was transported to the local hospital with a serious injury. 

            -On 01-20-06, at 10:40 p.m., Lafe William Brackenridge, Jr., age 22, of the 9300 block of Chadburn Place in Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd degree assault and disorderly conduct. The arrest was a result of confrontation between a Ride-On bus driver and the defendant at Club House Rd. in Gaithersburg where the defendant threw a full beer bottle at the victim. 

            -On 03-12-06, at 11:23 p.m., Edin Castillo, age 26, of the 8600 block of 11^th Ave. in Silver Spring was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, and false statement to a peace officer. He was also issued numerous citations. The arrest was a result of a domestic dispute in the 11400 block of Cherry Hill Road in Silver Spring.

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 03-02-06, at 4:00 p.m., three Silver Spring juveniles, ages 11, 12, and 12 were arrested and charged with burglary, destruction of property, and theft. The arrests were a result of a burglary at Highland Elementary School, 3100 Medway Street in Silver Spring on 03-01-06. 

            -On 03-16-05, at 1:55 p.m., Sylvester Ivory Williams, age 42, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with 1^st degree burglary, malicious destruction over $500, and theft over $500. The arrest was a result of a burglary that had just occurred at a home in the 1500 block of Hugo Circle in Silver Spring. 

            -On 03-21-06, at 7:20 p.m., a 15 year-old Germantown youth was arrested and charged with 1^st and 3^rd degree burglary and possession of stolen property. The arrest was a result of burglary at a home in the 13300 block of Rushing Water Way in Germantown that had just occurred.

INDECENT EXPOSURE/ARREST 

            -On 03-24-06, at 3:25 p.m., Victor Interring, age 49, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. The arrest was a result of the defendant exposing himself in a public place in the area of the 9800 block of Sailfish Terrace in Montgomery Village.
