RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

March 31, 2005

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 03-28-05, at 12:01 a.m., a 26-year-old Gaithersburg man was assaulted by a known suspect in the 20200 block of Green Run Court.  The suspect struck the victim on the head with a tire iron.  The suspect’s identity is known, and the investigation is continuing.  The victim was treated at a local hospital. 

            -On 03-24-05, at 9:00 p.m., a 22-year-old female from Gaithersburg reported that she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend.  The assault occurred in the Walkers Choice area of Montgomery Village.  The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation is continuing. 

            On 03-27-05, at 3:00 a.m., a 22-year-old male from Gaithersburg was in the 400 block of Muddy Branch Road when he was stabbed in the back by the suspect.  The suspect fled in an unknown direction.  The victim was treated at a local hospital.  The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 24 to 27, 5’8”, 170 to 180 lbs., short black hair, wearing black pants and a blue jacket.

 

UNDERAGE ALCOHOL PARTY 

            On-03-25-05, at midnight, police responded to a residence in the Flower Valley community in Rockville for the report of an underage alcohol party.  There were 17 citations issued for underage possession of alcoholic beverages.  All juveniles were released to their parents or a responsible adult. 

            -On 03-26-05, at 10:46 p.m., police responded to a residence in the Woodside community of Bethesda for the report of an underage alcohol party.  There were nine citations issued for underage possession of alcoholic beverages.  All juveniles were released to their parents. 

            -On 03-27-05 at 11:57 a.m., police responded to a residence in the Capital View Park area of Silver Spring for the report of an underage alcohol party.  There were 11 citations issued to juveniles and two adults for underage possession of alcoholic beverages.  All juveniles were released to their parents.

1st DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL 

            -FLORA’S FEATHERED NEST, 12211 River Road in Potomac, between 5:30 p.m. on 03-24-05 and 10:00 a.m. on 03-25-03.  Forced entry, no property taken.

            -ELSEVEIR, 12230 Wilkins Avenue in Rockville, between 8:00 p.m. on 02-11-05 and 8:30 a.m. on 02-14-05.   Attempted to forced entry, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL 

            -14400 block of Seneca Road in Gaithersburg, between 8:30 a.m. on 03-10-05 and 8:30 a.m. on 03-24-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -11100 block of Lamplighter Lane in Potomac, between 6:30 p.m. on 03-16-05 and 9:30 p.m. on 03-16-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -11100 block of Lamplighter Lane in Potomac, between 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on 03-26-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -11511 Ridge Mist Terrace in Potomac, between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on 03-26-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

 

6th DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL 

            -19000 block of Sedley Terrace in Gaithersburg, between 12:00 p.m. on 08-01-04 and 12:00 p.m. on 03-27-05.    Forced entry, property taken.
