RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

April 4, 2006 

RAPE 

            -On 03-25-06, at 10:22 p.m., a 33-year-old Potomac woman reported that she had been a victim of an attempted rape on 03-24-06. The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation is continuing.

SEX ASSAULT 

            -On 03-24-06, at 6:30 p.m., a 17-year-old Silver Spring female reported that she had been forced into a car in the 2100 block of Harlequin Terrace in Silver Spring and assaulted by the suspect. The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation is continuing.

PEEPING TOM 

            -On 03-27-06, at 3:00 a.m., a 28 year-old Gaithersburg woman reported that she heard something at her window in the Unit block of Water Street in Gaithersburg and went to investigate. The suspect then fled and ran toward West Diamond Avenue. The suspect wore a blue jacket and tan slacks. 

            -On 03-26-06, at 12:45 a.m., a 29-year-old Silver Spring woman reported that a man was trying to look through the blinds at her home in the 1500 block of December Drive in Silver Spring. He was later apprehended by police after a brief struggle. The suspect’s identity is known and the investigation is continuing.

INDECENT EXPOSURE ARREST 

            -On 03-11-06, at 4:59 p.m., a 43-year-old Rockville woman reported that a male suspect had exposed himself in the Costco parking lot in the 800 block of Russell Ave. in Gaithersburg. Juan Carlos Antonio Martinez, age 39, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ARREST 

            -On 03-25-06, at approximately 11:00 p.m., police on routine patrol observed a large fight between approximately 10 suspects in the area of Century Blvd. and Crystal Rock Dr. in Germantown. A 14-year-old male juvenile from Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with 2^nd degree assault and possession of a concealed weapon. Also arrested and charged in the incident was Andrea Allesandro Lloyd Burke, age 19, of the 18300 block of Lost knife Circle in Gaithersburg. He was charged with possession of marijuana. Also arrested and charged in the incident was Zakkee Irith Hill, age 18, of Landover, Maryland. He was charged with 1 count of 2^nd degree assault. 

            -On 03-26-06, at 12:10 a.m., Geraldo Arias, age 41, of the 1700 block of Mt. Pisgah Lane in Silver Spring was arrested and charged with 1^st and 2^nd degree assault. The arrest was a result of a domestic dispute. 

            -On 03-26-06, at 11:10 a.m., a 15 year-old Gaithersburg male youth was arrested as a result of a domestic incident in the 800 in the 800 block of Curry Ford Lane in Gaithersburg.

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 03-24-06, at 5:00 p.m., Ian Kenwin Joseph, age 26, of Temple Hills, Md. was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and 1^st degree burglary. The arrest was a result of a burglary in the 8700 block of Reading Ave. in Silver Spring.

            -4900 block of Crescent St. in Bethesda, between 12:50 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 03-20-06. No forced entry, nothing taken.

-8500 block of Bradmoor Drive in Bethesda, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on 03-24-06. Forced entry, property taken.

            -7700 block of Oldchester Drive in Bethesda, between 8:45 a.m. and 11:55 p.m. on 03-23-06. Forced entry, no property taken.

            -6900 block of Ridgewood Avenue in Chevy Chase, between 3:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on 03-27-06. Forced entry, property taken.

            -4100 block of Woodbine Street in Chevy Chase, between 9:00 p.m. on 03-24-06 and 1:05 p.m. on 03-27-06. Forced entry, property taken.
