RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

April 11, 2005

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ARREST 

            -On 04-03-05, at 5:00 a.m., Shane Kenton Lee, age 20, of the 100 block of Lazy Hollow Dr. in Gaithersburg was arrested and charged with 1 count of 1st degree Assault, 1 count of 2nd degree Assault, 1 count of Reckless Endangerment, 1 count of False Imprisonment, and 3 counts of Malicious Destruction of Property over $500. In addition, the defendant was also charged with 5 traffic citations. The arrest was a result of an incident that just occurred in the 200 block of Amberfield Lane in Gaithersburg.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 04-04-05, at 10:15 a.m., an 11-year-old Rockville youth was arrested for threatening a classmate with scissors at the White Oak Middle School in Silver Spring.

 

STRONG-ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 04-06-05, at 8:45 p.m., a 13-year-old Silver Spring youth was approached by a suspect on Lockwood Way in Silver Spring. He demanded the victim’s cell phone and the victim complied. The victim then approached and tore the suspect’s shirt.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, 19, 6’3”, 190 lbs., Dreadlocks hair, skullcap, tee shirt, sweat pants, gray shoes.

 

RAPE 

            -On 04-02-05, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a 22 year-old Germantown woman reported that she was approached by several subjects and they forced her to drive to an unknown residence in Silver Spring where she was raped repeatedly. The victim reported she was able to find her keys and leave the residence at approximately 11:00 p.m. There were 4 black male suspects involved in the incident. 

            -On 03-27-05, at 1:00 a.m., a 14-year-old Germantown female reported that she was approached by 5 black males as she was headed to visit a friend in another apartment in her complex. Suspect #1 coerced her into a utility closet and raped her. The suspect’s identity is not known and the investigation is continuing.  The victim was unable to provide a description of the other suspects.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, 17, 5’3”, 200 lbs., blue jeans, black jacket, black hat, cornrows hair.

 

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 03-30-05, at 8:00 p.m., 2 male juveniles from Gaithersburg, ages 14 and 16, and a 14 year-old female from Gaithersburg were arrested and charged with 1 count each of Attempt 2nd degree Burglary, 4th degree Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, and Trespassing on posted property. The arrests were a result of an attempt burglary in the 400 block of Victory Farm Dr. in Gaithersburg.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -1900 block of Carters Grove Dr. in Silver Spring, between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on 03-30-05. Forced entry, property taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -DR. JOANN URGUHART, 9711 Medical Center Dr. in Rockville, between 4:30 p.m. on 04-10-05 and 7:30 a.m. on 04-04-05. Unknown entry, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -800 block of Pheasant Run Dr. in Gaithersburg, between 12:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on 04-04-05. Climbed through rear window, property taken.

            -100 block of Alderwood Dr. in Gaithersburg, between 11:00 a.m. on 03-31-05 and noon on 04-02-05. Forced entry, property taken.

            -8900 block of Edgewood Dr. in Gaithersburg, between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on 03-26-05. Forced entry, property taken.

            -20600 block of Beaver Ridge Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on 04-05-05. No forced entry, property taken.

            -19100 block of Kinglet Place in Gaithersburg, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on 04-05-05. Unlocked basement door, nothing taken.
