ATTEMPT CARJACKING 

            -On 04-06-04, at 9:20 p.m., a 20 year-old Germantown man was the victim of an attempted carjacking in the 12700 block of Pumpkin Seed Ct., in Germantown.  The victim was inside his car when he saw two suspects standing in front of it. As the first suspect displayed a shotgun to the victim, the second suspect walked towards the driver’s side door.  The victim put his car in reverse and drove off.  The suspects were seen getting into a white 4D car with unknown registration.  Both suspects were black males, 18-23 years, 5’10” to 6’1”, 180 pounds, wearing dark clothing.

 

ARMED ROBBERY 

      -On 04-07-04, at 11:10 p.m., the Montgomery Village Shell station, located at 19300 Montgomery Village Ave. was robbed. Two suspects entered the store and one displayed a handgun, and demanded money.  The clerk complied with the demands.  Both suspects then ran out the front door.  A third suspect, who remained outside, was seen running with the other suspects.   The first two suspects were black males, 14-18 years, 5’2” to 5’4”, 120-130 pounds, wearing black hooded sweatshirts. No description was provided for the third suspect. 

            -On 04-06-04, at 8:15 p.m., a 22 year-old Gaithersburg man was the victim of an armed robbery in the 400 block of N. Summit Ave. in Gaithersburg.  Three suspects approached the victim and one displayed a knife.  The suspects demanded money and the victim complied.  The first suspect was a Hispanic male, 20-29 years, 5’9”, 130 pounds, wearing a flannel shirt and tan boots.  The second suspect was a Hispanic male, 5’6”, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.  The third suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 20-29 years, 5’10”, mustache, with a scar on cheek.  The suspects were last seen running towards Girard Street.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 04-04-04, at 10:03 p.m., a 19-year-old Gaithersburg man was the victim of a strong-arm robbery in the 400 block of W. Deer Park Rd., in Gaithersburg.  Four suspects approached the victim and began to beat the victim.  During the assault, the suspects removed property from the victim.  The suspects then got into a white 4D car with unknown registration.  All four suspects were described as black males.  No further information was provided. 

            -On 04-07-04, at 2:00 a.m., a 41-year-old Silver Spring woman was the victim of a strong-arm robbery in the 8200 block of Colonial Lane in Silver Spring.  The suspect punched the victim, which caused her to fall to the ground.  The suspect then removed money from the victim and left in an unknown direction.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 25-30 years, 6’0”, 200 pounds, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ARREST 

            -On 04-06-04, Phillisa Copper, age 23, of the 13100 block of Shady Side Lane, Germantown, was arrested and charged First-degree assault, Hindering and Obstructing, and traffic charges.  The arrest was the result of an incident in the 19700 block of Frederick Road in Germantown. 

            -On 04-05-04, Romulo Naverrette, age 39, of the 3300 block of Chauncey Place in Mt. Rainer, MD, was arrested and charged with four counts of First-degree Assault and four counts of False Imprisonment.  The arrest was the result of an incident in the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard in Briggs Chaney.

1ST DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -7800 block of Persimmon Tree Lane, Potomac, between 6:00 p.m. on 04-06-04 and 8:00 a.m. on 04-07-04.  Forced open door, unknown what was taken.

            -10000 block of S. Glen Rd. in Potomac, between 7:27 p.m. and 9:18 p.m. on 04-06-04. Broke through double front door, jewelry taken.

 

2ND DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -10000 block of Kensington Pkwy., Kensington, between 2:00 p.m. on 2:10 p.m. on 04-07-04.  Entered home, jewelry taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -13900 block of Castle Blvd., Briggs Chaney, between 6:55 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on 04-05-04.  Entered home, Playstation and games, DVD player, and shoes.

            -8400 block of Hartford Ave., Silver Spring, between 7:00 a.m. on 04-01-04 and 7:00 a.m. on 04-06-04. Attempt only, pried frame on door.

 

5TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -19200 block of Tattershall Dr., Germantown, at 1:49 a.m. on 04-07-04.  Attempt only, kicked door.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -THE TRACK, 16806 Oakmont Ave., Gaithersburg, between 1:40 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. on 04-07-04.  Pried open window, remote control car and controller taken.

            -MILESTONE CLEANING, 9154 Rothbury Dr., Gaithersburg, between 4:00 a.m. and 9:44 a.m. on 04-08-04.  Forced open door, money taken.

            -TOTAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONCEPTS, INC., 9426 Stewartown Rd., Gaithersburg, between 6:46 p.m. on 04-05-04 and 8:15 a.m. on 04-06-04.  Broke out window, computer equipment taken.

            -WEICHERT REALTORS, 19238 Montgomery Village Ave., Montgomery Village, between 8:00 p.m. on 04-06-04 and 8:19 a.m. on 04-07-04.  Broke out window, unknown what was taken.

            -MAJESTIC DELI, 15200 block of Shady Grove Rd., Rockville, between 5:00 p.m. on 04-07-04 and 3:56 a.m. on 04-08-04.  Pried frame on door, food and money taken.

            -COAKLEY WILLIAMS CONSTRUCTION, 16 S. Summit Ave., Gaithersburg, between 9:30 p.m. on 04-01-04 and 5:00 a.m. on 04-02-04.  Entered office, computer equipment taken.

            -THE OTHER REALMS, 18226 Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg, between 8:00 p.m. on 04-05-04 and 10:00 a.m. on 04-06-04. Pried open back door, nothing taken.

            -VIRSYS, 200 Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg, between 4:00 p.m. on 04-02-04 and 7:30 a.m. on 04-05-04. Cut cable on rear door, computers taken.

            -SHADY GROVE DEVELOPMENT PARK, 15890 Gaither Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 2:00 p.m. on 04-04-04 and 5:50 a.m. on 04-05-04. Broke through front door of office building under construction, tools taken from various companies.

            -FOREST OAK MIDDLE SCHOOL, 651 Saybrooke Oaks Blvd., in Gaithersburg, between 2:51 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. on 04-09-04. Entered building through door, unknown amount taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -18300 block of Honey Locust Circle in Gaithersburg, between 8:30 p.m. on 04-06-04 and 7:45 p.m. on 04-09-04. Broke out basement window, nothing taken.
