RECENT CRIME SUMMARY

April 19, 2005

 

ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 04-12-05, at 9:05 p.m., a 31-year-old male from Gaithersburg was walking behind Gaithersburg Elementary School on North Summit Avenue, when he was approached from behind by three suspects.  Suspect # 1 displayed a gun and demanded money.  All three suspects rushed the victim, threw him to the ground and removed his wallet.  Victim was punched and kicked in the face.  The suspects then fled towards East Diamond Avenue.  Victim refused medical assistance.

        Suspect #1 – black male, 20, slim build, wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and jeans

        Suspect #2 – white male, 20, medium build, wearing a skull cap and black jeans.
·
        Suspect #3 – Hispanic male, 20, medium build, wearing jeans.

 

ATTEMPT STRONG-ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 04-13-05, at 8:36 p.m., a 42-year-old Silver Spring male was walking in the 11500 block of Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring, when the suspect approached him.  When the suspect threatened the victim and demanded money, the victim went to his residence to contact the police.  The suspect then fled on foot towards Lockwood Drive and Stewart Lane. The suspect is a Hispanic male, 15 to 16, 5’1” to 5’2”, 120 lbs., wearing gray shorts, a white shirt, and a red shirt over his face and head.

 

STRONG-ARM CARJACKING 

            -On 04-13-05, at 7:40 p.m., a 28-year-old Germantown male was in a parking lot at the Summit Crest apartments at N. Summit Drive and N. Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg, when three suspects approached him.  Suspect #1 asked for a ride, and then all three suspects got into the vehicle and forced the victim to drive to a field in the 5300 block of Riggs Road in Damascus.  All four exited the vehicle, and then suspect #1 struck the victim in the face several times.  Suspect #1 then forced the victim back into the vehicle and drove him to Lakeforest Mall where he was forced out.  All three suspects then left in the victim’s vehicle.

        Suspect #1 – black female, 18 to 20, shoulder-length brown hair with highlights, wearing a white headband, blue-jean shirt and skirt.

        Suspect #2 – black male, 15, brown eyes, black hair with corn-rows, dark complexion, wearing an off-white short-sleeve shirt.
·
        Suspect #3 – black male, 25, brown eyes, black hair, goatee, dark complexion, wearing a baseball-style cap and a red t-shirt.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 04-11-05, at 11:00 p.m., an 18-year-old male from Baltimore was walking in the 800 block of Northwest Drive in the White Oak area of Silver Spring when the suspect drove up in a gold-colored Chrysler 4-door vehicle with tinted windows.  The suspect exited the vehicle, spoke to the victim, and then shot him.  The suspect then fled the scene towards New Hampshire Ave. in the vehicle.  The suspect is described as a black male, in his 20’s, wearing a gray hooded-sweatshirt and black pants.  Victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.

 

ROBBERY ARREST 

            -On 04-08-05, Bobby Brown Pierrelus, 19, and Larry Pierrelus, 19, both of the 12500 block of O’Fallon Street in Silver Spring, and Frederick Jerome Davis, 19, of the 3900 block of Bel Pre Road in Silver Spring were arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. The arrest was the result of an incident that occurred earlier in the 2200 block of Georgian Woods Place in Wheaton. 

            -On 04-09-05, a 14-year-old Silver Spring male and a 15-year-old Washington, D.C. male were arrested and charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and 2nd Degree Assault.  The 15-year-old was also charged with Possession of Stolen Property.  The arrests were the result of an incident that had just occurred to the rear of Weller Road Elementary School in Wheaton.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ARREST 

            -On 04-13-05, Jermaine Alexander Richards, 20, of the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.  The arrest was the result of a domestic incident that had just occurred in the Town Crest community in Gaithersburg.

-On 04-13-05, two 17-year-old males and a 16-year-old male, all from Gaithersburg, were arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.  The arrests were the result of an incident that had just occurred in the area of Amity Drive and Washington Grove Lane in Washington Grove.

 

INDECENT EXPOSURE ARREST 

            -On 04-10-05, Alexander Michael Guron, 57, of the 6600 block of Hillandale Road in Chevy Chase, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.  The arrest was the result of an incident that had just occurred at the intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Executive Boulevard in Rockville.

 

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 04-08-05, Manuel Antonio Franco, age 20, of the 1800 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard in Gaithersburg, was arrested and charged with 4th Degree Burglary, Theft Under $500, Trespassing, and Malicious Destruction of Property.  The arrest was the result of an incident that had just occurred in 9100 block of Rothbury Drive in Gaithersburg.

RESIDENTIAL 

            -2300 block of Blaine Drive in Chevy Chase, between 1:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on 04-10-05.  Entry made, no force, property taken.

            -8000 block of Ashboro Court in Chevy Chase at 2:45 p.m. on 04-10-05.  Entry made, no force, property taken.

 

3rd DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL 

            -HOBBY CITY, 15751 Columbia Pike in Burtonsville, at 3:37 a.m. on 04-15-05.  Forced entry; property taken. 

RESIDENTIAL 

            -1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle in the White Oak area of Silver Spring, between 8:45 a.m. and 6:18 p.m. on 04-08-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -11000 block of Childs Street in the White Oak are of Silver Spring, between 11:30 a.m and 3:15 p.m. on 04-12-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

 

4th DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL 

            -13400 block of Lydia Street in the Aspen Hill area of Silver Spring, between 7:15 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on 04-07-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -2500 block of Owens Road in Olney, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on 04-12-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -13200 block of Grenoble Drive in Rockville, between 11:30 p.m. on 04-09-05 and 12:05 a.m. on 04-10-05 Entry made, no force, property taken.

            -12800 block of Epping Terrace in Glenmont, between 10:00 p.m. on 04-07-05 and 12:45 p.m. on 04-09-05.  Entry made, no force, property taken.

            -12700 block of Turkey Branch Parkway in Rockville, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 04-08-05. Forced entry, property taken.

            -13300 block of Georgia Avenue in the Aspen Hill area of Silver Spring, between 8:00 a.m. on 03-31-05 and 1:30 p.m. on 04-08-05.   Forced entry, property taken.

            -3400 block of Janet Road in Wheaton, between 7:10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on 04-11-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -12500 block of Winexburg Manor Drive in Glenmont, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on 04-11-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -3400 block of Janet Road in Wheaton, between 4:10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on 04-11-05.  Entry made, no force; property taken.

            -2900 block of St. Helen Circle in the Bel Pre area of Silver Spring, between 6:20 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. on 04-03-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -18300 block of Dutchess Drive in Olney, from the early morning to 2:10 p.m. on 03-29-05.  Entry made, no force; property taken.

COMMERCIAL 

            -METRO GROUND COVERS, 24420 Frederick Road in Clarksburg, between 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on 04-09-05.  Forced entry, property taken.

            -9900 block of Forest View Place in Montgomery Village, between 1:01 a.m. on 04-13-05 and 10:30 a.m. on 04-15-05.   Forced entry, property taken.
