ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 04-20-04, at 10:00 a.m., a 28 year-old Burtonsville woman looked out her window from her residence in the 3200 block of Wood Ave. and noticed a vehicle pull into her driveway. A suspect (B/M, 40-50, 6’1”-6’3”, 200 lbs., black pants, bandana on head) exited his vehicle and took a radial arm saw from the carport and placed it in his vehicle. The victim approached him and was threatened with a knife held by the suspect. Another suspect (B/F, 20-30, portly, white T-shirt) did not leave her car. The suspect vehicle exited the driveway and left in the direction of northbound Old Columbia Pike.

 

ATTEMPT ROBBERY/ARREST 

            -On 04-15-04, Mario Emelionz-Cornelio age 23, address unknown, was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, 1st Degree Attempt Assault, Attempt Robbery, Theft under $500, and 2nd Degree Assault. The arrest was a result of an attempt robbery at the Wheaton Deli on Georgia Ave. in Wheaton.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

           -On 04-18-04, at 4:00 a.m., a 22-year-old Alexandria, Va. man was leaving a restaurant in the 7900 block of Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring when 2 suspects approached him, pushed him to the ground, and took his book bag. The suspects (B/M, 25, 6’0”, 180-200 lbs., blue jeans, white T-shirt) fled on foot in an unknown direction. The bag contained cash and a Travelers Check.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/ARREST 

            -On 04-18-04, Charles Marion Cook age 62, of the 8900 block of N. Westland Dr. in Gaithersburg, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Assault, Possession Deadly Weapon, and Reckless Endangerment. The arrest was a result of an incident at the above address where the defendant fired a shotgun at 2 employees who were removing trailers from in front of his residence.

2ND DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -KYZMA CONSTRUCTION, 10139 Cedar Lane in Kensington, between noon on 04-17-04 and noon on 04-18-04. Pried open garage door, tools taken from a garage under construction. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -10200 block of Capitol View Ave. in Silver Spring, between 7:18 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. on 04-19-04. Unlocked side door, cash taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -DIANE’S BOUTIQUE, 800 block of Wayne Ave. in Silver Spring, between 3:26 a.m. and 3:37 a.m. on 04-14-04. Broke out rear window, racks of clothing taken.         

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -7900 block of Takoma Ave. in Silver Spring, between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on 04-13-04. Broke out basement door, no entry.

            -800 block of Thayer Ave. in Silver Spring, between 5:05 p.m. and 6:08 p.m. on 04-14-04. Unlocked front door, bag, barber clippers taken.

 

4TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -1500 block of Billman Lane in Silver Spring, between 4:30 p.m. on 04-11-04 and 4:00 p.m. on 04-13-04. Pried frame, nothing taken.

 

5TH DISTRICT

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

            -CURRENT TECHNOLOGIES LLC, 12800 Middlebrook Rd. in Germantown, between 11:30 p.m. on 04-18-04 and unknown time 04-19-04. Front door entry, computer taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

            -13200 block of Autumn Mist Circle in Germantown, at 12:15 p.m. on 04-14-04. Attempt to open rear window, nothing taken.

            -13300 block of Kilmarnok Way in Germantown, between 10:15 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. on 04-15-04. Broke through front door, cash taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -THOMAS CHOICE GARDEN CONDOS, 19401 Brassie Place in Gaithersburg, at 12:45 a.m. on 04-17-04. Broke though side door, unknown amount taken.

            -SPECTRUM TICKETS, 4 Pontiac Way in Gaithersburg, between 5:00 p.m. on 04-16-04 and 4:30 p.m. on 04-17-04. Basement door entry, baseball tickets taken.

            -MIKES TOWING, 16783 Oakmont Ave. in Gaithersburg, between 4:00 p.m. on 04-18-04 and unknown time 04-19-04. Pried open front door, lock out kit, aluminum racing sack taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -900 block of Hillside Lake Terrace in Gaithersburg, between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on 04-15-04. Pried open front door, cash taken.

            -15600 block of Marathon Circle in Gaithersburg, between 4:00 a.m. on 04-11-04 and 10:30 p.m. on 04-18-04. Pried frame on front door, jewelry, DVDs, camera taken.

            -18800 block of Walkers Choice Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 9:00 p.m. on 04-13-04 and 4:50 a.m. on 04-14-04. Removed screen on rear window, computer and cash taken.

            -9900 block of Gable Ridge Terrace in Rockville, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on 04-15-04. Pried frame on front door, nothing taken.

 

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 04-17-04, Ralph John Eberle, age 46, of Stafford, Va. and Jeffrey Scott Renzi, age 43, of Fredericksburg, Va. were arrested and charged with 2nd degree burglary, theft over $500, malicious destruction of property, possession of CDS, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. The arrests were a result of a burglary at a construction site at Belward Campus Dr. and John Hopkins Dr. in Rockville. 

            -On 04-18-04, Shaun Christopher Williams, age 20, of Hyattsville, Md. was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary, attempt burglary, theft under $500, fleeing and eluding, and resisting arrest. The arrest was a result of a burglary in the 14200 block of Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring.
