ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 04-29-04, at 7:45 p.m., a 17-year-old Silver Spring youth, and two friends, were walking to a bus stop in the area of Veirs Mill Road and Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, when a suspect approached from behind and engaged them in conversation. The suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded property from the victims. The suspect ran in an unknown direction. The victims each went home where one of the victims contacted the police. The suspect was described as a B/M, 25-26 years-old, 6’04”, 230-240 lbs., wearing a Falcons ball cap, and Black Falcon shirt. 

            -On 05-01-04, at 8:25 p.m., a 29-year-old Silver Spring man was walking on Grandview Avenue near Weisman Road in Wheaton, when three males in a black car approached him. One of the rear seat passengers got out and pulled the victim into the car. One suspect displayed a handgun. The suspects drove to Shorefield Road  where they demanded money and a wallet from the victim and pushed him from the vehicle. Suspect #1 was a Hispanic W/M, 20-years-old, 5’9”-5’10”, 200 lbs., wearing a blue jeans, and blue long sleeve shirt. Suspect #2 was a Hispanic W/M, 20-years-old, 5’9”-5’10”, 160 lbs., wearing a yellow/white/red striped shirt and blue jeans. Suspect #3 was a Hispanic W/M, with a slim build. 

            -On 05-04-04, at midnight, a 44-year-old Silver Spring woman had got out of a car in the 13600 block of Colgate Way in Silver Spring when two suspects approached her. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and took the victim’s purse. The suspects fled in an unknown direction. Suspect #1 was described as a B/M, 20’s, 5’11”, 150-160 lbs., wearing a black hooded jacket. Suspect #2 was described as a B/M, 20’s, 5’11”, 150-160 lbs., wearing a dark hat. 

            -On 05-04-04, at 9:00 p.m., a 50-year-old Germantown man was walking on a footpath in the area of Sage Terrace in Germantown when a suspect approached him on a bicycle. The suspect implied he had a gun and demanded property from the victim. The suspect fled in an unknown direction after obtaining property. The suspect was described as a black male, 20-25 years, 5’11”-6’0”, 160-180-lbs., wearing a grey sweatshirt with black sleeves. 

            -On 04-29-04, at 10:30 a.m., a 39-year-old Gaithersburg woman was walking in the 200 block of N. Frederick Road in Gaithersburg when she was approached by two females who engaged her in conversation. The victim accompanied the two females to a store, where they met with a third suspect, described only as a Hispanic male. After a brief conversation with all three suspects, the victim attempted to leave and one of the females displayed a knife and demanded money from the victim.  All of the suspects fled in an unknown direction. Suspect #1 was described as a Hispanic female, 25-years-old, 5’5”, 140 lbs., blonde hair, wearing black pants, white long-sleeve windbreaker. Suspect #2 was described as a Hispanic female, 30-years-old, 5’7”, 140 lbs., black hair, wearing gray pants, and pink flowered shirt.

 

INDECENT EXPOSURE 

            -On 05-02-04, at 1:30 p.m., Lakeforest Mall Security notified police that several mall patrons had observed an adult male exposing himself to others inside a restroom facility at Lakeforest Mall, 701 Russell Avenue in Gaithersburg.  The suspect was described as a B/M, 30’s, 6’3”, short black hair, wearing a white-short-sleeve polo shirt and jeans. 

            -On 04-25-04, at 3:30 p.m. an 11-year-old Bethesda youth was in a vehicle at the Aspen Hill Shopping Center in Aspen Hill, when a subject exited a parked SUV nearby, opened his coat and expose himself to the victim. The victim beeped the horn and the subject got back into his vehicle and drove away. The suspect was described as a W/M, 45-55 years-old, heavy build, driving a blue SUV.

            -LANGUAGE EXPERIENCE, LLC., 15245 Shady Grove Rd. Suite 345, Rockville, between 6:40 p.m. on 04-30-04 and 8:20 a.m. on 05-01-04. Pried door lock, nothing taken.

            -GOODMAN & MCALLISTER, CPA’S, 15245 Shady Grove Rd. Suite 100, Rockville, between 6:40 p.m. on 04-30-04 and 8:20 a.m. on 05-01-04. Pried door lock, nothing taken.

            -CONGRESSIONAL FUNDING, 15245 Shady Grove Rd. Suite 145, Rockville, between 6:40 p.m. on 04-30-04 and 8:20 a.m. on 05-01-04. Pried door lock, nothing taken.

            -MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS PLUS, INC. 15245 Shady Grove Rd. Suite 130, Rockville, between 6:40 p.m. on 04-30-04 and 8:20 a.m. on 05-01-04. Pried door lock, nothing taken.

            -MY ORGANIC MARKET 11711 B Parklawn Dr., Rockville, at 3:30 a.m. on 05-06-04. Broke front window, nothing taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -9900 block of Avenel Farm Drive, Potomac, between 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on 04-30-04. Entered pet door, nothing taken.

            -14500 block of Cartwright Way, N. Potomac, between 5:00 a.m. on 04-24-04 and 11:30 p.m. on 05-03-04. Broke rear door, took currency.

 

2nd DISTRICT

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -GALAXY III, 8525 Connecticut Ave, Bethesda, between 4:50 and 4:55 a.m. on 05-04-04. Entered front door, removed cash drawer.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -7200 block of Lenhart Drive, Chevy Chase, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 04-29-04. Kicked door, no entry, nothing taken.

            -6400 block of Stoneham Road, Bethesda, between 6:20 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on 04-30-04.  Broke door, took currency and fire safe.

 

3rd DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

          -R.D. CATUDAL, P.A., 1734 Elton Road, Suite 101, Silver Spring, between 11:30 p.m. on 04-30-04 and 1:39 p.m. on 05-03-04. Pried office door open, computer and printer taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -800 block of Richmond Avenue, Silver Spring, between 6:00 p.m. on 04-21-04 and 12:30 p.m. on 05-02-04. Entered unlock garage door,  power tools taken.

            -14200 block of Letterkenney Ct., Burtonsville, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. on 04-28-04. Broke glass door, nothing taken.

            -1400 block of Hampshire West Ct., Silver Spring, between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on 05-04-04. Broke glass door, jewelry taken.

            -15000 block of Pine Top Lane, Burtonsville, between 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on 04-28-04. Broke door, jewelry taken.

            -500 block Thayer Avenue, Silver Spring, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on 05-03-04. Broke front door, currency taken.

 

4th DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -300 block of Stonegate Drive, Silver Spring, between 1:00 p.m. on 04-29-04 and 10:30 a.m. on 05-01-04. Entered unlocked door, nothing taken.

            -12300 block of Judson Road, Wheaton, between 7:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on 04-28-04. Entered rear door, nothing taken.

            -12700 block of Layhill Road, Silver Spring, between 5:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on 04-29-04. Broke front door, X-Box game console, DVD Player, and games taken.

            -15100 block of Centergate Drive, Silver Spring, between 12:30 p.m. on 04-30-04 and 9:30 p.m. on 05-02-04. Broke rear window, currency and fire extinguisher taken.

 

5th DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -SHINJUKU JAPANESE RESTAURANT 13541 Clopper Road, Germantown, between 3:30 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. on 04-30-04. Pried side window, camcorder taken.

            -FOX CHAPEL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 19315 Archdale Road, Germantown, between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on 05-03-04. Entered unlocked door, nothing taken.

            -CHILDREN’S PEDIATRIC ASSOCIATES, 19501 Doctors Drive, Germantown, between 9:00 p.m. on 4-30-04 and 8:00 a.m. on 05-03-04. Pried frame, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -19100 block of Staleybridge Drive, Germantown, between 11:00 a.m. and  12:50 p.m. on 05-05-04. Pried rear window, television, stereo, and camera taken.

            -11100 block of Flanagan Lane, Germantown, at 11:08 a.m. on 05-05-04. Entered unlocked door, 35mm camera, and jewelry taken.

            -18300 block of Moore Road, Dickerson, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on 04-27-04. Broke door knob, nothing taken.
