STRONG ARM ROBBERY

            -On 06-10-04, at 11:00 a.m., a 15-year-old Burtonsville male was the victim of a strong-armed robbery in the 4300 block of Islewood Terrace in Burtonsville.  The suspect (B/M, 17-19, 6’0”-6’2”, 145-155 lbs., twist hair, thin, white T-shirt, blue jeans, gold tooth) walked up to the victim and asked for money. When the victim did not answer, the suspect grabbed him. The suspect left on a bicycle after obtaining money from the victim.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 06-13-04, at 6:53 p.m., a 19-year-old Takoma Park male was walking in the 500 block of Domer Ave. in Takoma Park when six suspects approached him.  Suspect #1 (Hispanic/M 5’6”, 170 lbs., black shirt, blue shorts) along with others began to beat and kick the victim. The suspects ran on foot towards Garland Ave. after hitting the victim over the head with a bottle.  The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The victim was unable to provide a description of the other suspects.

            -On 06-14-04, at 11:30 p.m., a 23-year-old Silver Spring man was on Fenton St. at Cameron St., in Silver Spring, when a suspect came running up behind him. The suspect (B/M, 5’10”-6’0”, 165 lbs., bald, white T-shirt, light blue jeans) approached and displayed a knife after the victim had entered his vehicle and locked the door.  The suspect left in an unknown direction.

            -On 06-14-04, at 6:45 p.m., a 27-year-old Silver Spring man got into an argument with three suspects in the 100 block of Schulyer Rd. in Silver Spring. Suspect #1 (Hispanic/M, 25-27, 5’11”, 240 lbs., button down shirt, jeans) pointed a handgun at the victim and the victim ran away. Suspect #1 got into a black Mini Van with the other two suspects and drove off. They shot several shots at the victim as they drove away. ***Previous release written on this incident. ***

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -E Z SHOPPES BEER, WINE, DELI, 2009 Chapman Ave., Rockville, at 1:48 a.m. on 06-11-04. Broke out window, unknown amount taken.

            -TWINBROOK AUTO SERVICE, 12349 Parklawn Dr., Rockville, between 1:00 p.m. on 06-10-04 and 5:21 a.m. on 06-14-04. Broke out window, cash and vehicle taken.

            -ST. LUKES HOUSE, 6040 Southport Dr., Bethesda, between 4:00 p.m. on 06-02-04 and 2:00 p.m. on 06-04-04. Entered office, unknown amount taken.

            -INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE, 12300 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, between 10:00 p.m. on 06-15-04 and 5:30 a.m. on 06-16-04. Broke through door, nothing taken.

            -AMT, 12750 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, between 6:30 p.m. on 06-14-04 and 12:30 p.m. on 06-15-04. Pried lock on door, computers, cell phones taken.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -11700 block of Idelwood Rd., Wheaton, between 12:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on 06-16-04.  Entered home, computer, printer, and guitar taken.

            -17200 block of Beauvoir Blvd., Derwood, between 6:20 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on 06-17-04. Twist knob on door, vehicle taken.

            -13400 block of Signal Tree Lane, Potomac, between 11:02 p.m. on 06-14-04 and 7:00 a.m. on 06-15-04.  Entered garage, dirt bikes taken.

 

2ND DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -PHYSICIAN ASSOCIATES, 6000 Executive Blvd., Rockville, between 1:45 p.m. on 06-12-04 and 8:15 a.m. on 06-14-04. Pried lock on door, nothing taken.           

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -6000 block of Broadbranch Rd., Chevy Chase, between 9:15 a.m., and 1:40 p.m., on 06-11-04. Broke out window, computer equipment, jewelry, and ties taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT  

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -DR. STEVEN KAUFMAN AND DR. BRUCE ZINSMEISTER, 8860 Cameron St., Silver Spring, between 4:00 p.m. on 06-11-04 and 8:00 a.m. on 06-14-04. Entered office, money taken.

            -CAMERON’S SEAFOOD, 8603 16th St., Silver Spring, between 5:00 a.m., and 5:04 a.m., on 06-17-04. Forced door, electronic equipment and money taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -3000 block of Hampton Hollow Dr., Silver Spring, between 5:00 a.m., and 5:32 a.m., on 06-17-04. Pried door, nothing taken.

            -3000 block of Shanandale Dr. Silver Spring, between 11:00 a.m. on 06-11-04 and 1:10 p.m. on 06-14-04. Forced open door, silverware, a radio, and telephones taken.

            -8000 block of Galveston Rd., Silver Spring, between 10:00 p.m. on 06-10-04 and 2:00 p.m. on 06-11-04. Entered garage, two bicycles taken.

            -2000 block of Shanandale Dr. Silver Spring, between 10:30 a.m. on 06-12-04 and 12:00 p.m. on 06-13-04.  Climbed through window, unknown what was taken.

 

4TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -ROCK CREEK VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 5121 Russet Rd., Rockville, at 1:59 a.m. on 06-17-04.  Forced open door, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTAIL BURGLARY 

            -11900 block of Centerhill Street, Wheaton, between 3:30 p.m. on 06-12-04 and 8:30 p.m. on 06-16-04. Forced entry through door, nothing taken.

            -12000 block of Farnell Dr., Wheaton, between 1:37 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. on 06-17-04. Pried open window, nothing taken.        

            -2000 block Hardy Ave., Silver Spring, between 8:30 p.m. on 06-15-04 and 2:00 p.m. on 06-16-04. Entered home, cleaning supplies taken.

            -14000 Tynewick Terr., Silver Spring, between 8:00 a.m. on 06-13-04 and 3:00 p.m. on 06-17-04. Broke out window, unknown what was taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

COMMERICAL BURGLARY 

            -HADLEY FARMS COMMUNITY ASSOC., 7420 Hadley Farms Dr., Gaithersburg, between 12:36 a.m. and 12:50 a.m. on 06-14-04. Forced open window, money taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -Unit block of Maryland Ave., Gaithersburg, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. on 06-14-04. Entered home, unknown what was taken.

            -7300 block Brenish Dr., Gaithersburg, at 10:30 p.m. on 06-143-04. Forced open door, purse and contents taken.

            -18500 block Boysenberry Dr., Gaithersburg, between 11:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on 06-14-04. Forced open door, television and money taken.
