ARMED ROBBERY
-On 06-20-04, at
12:04 a.m.,
a Regency Cab driven by a 53-year-old
Germantown man was
robbed in the 19300 block of Montgomery Village Ave., in Montgomery
Village after dropping off a fare. An unknown suspect walked up to
the driver side window, simulating he had a gun. The suspect
demanded the victims money and proceeded to hit the victim before
leaving without obtaining any money. The suspect is described as a
B/M, 185 lbs., black T-shirt, blue jeans.
-On 06-22-04, at
8:03 p.m.,
a 17-year-old Rockville
man and some friends were in the 5500 block of Norbeck Rd. in
Rockville when two suspects approached them. Suspect #1 (W/M, 18-20,
60, 180 lbs., shorts, white shirt) displayed a knife and demanded
money. The victim complied. The suspects left the area in the
direction of Butternut Dr. and Barkwood Drive. Suspect #2 was
described as a W/M, 18-20, 60, with blonde hair and a red shirt.
-On 06-22-04,
at 3:45 p.m.,
a 28-year-old Wheaton man was driving on Dalewood Dr. near Randolph
Rd., in Wheaton, when the suspect flagged him down. The suspect
(W/F, 20s, 58-59, black clothing) asked for a ride and got in
the vehicle. When she asked to get out a short time later, she
produced a knife and demanded money from the victim. The victim
grabbed the knife but the suspect punched him in the chest and then
ran to a wooded area behind Wheaton
High School.
-On 06-27-04,
at 2:35 a.m.,
a 22-year-old Germantown man was walking in the area of Rt. 118 and
Aircraft Drive in Germantown when a suspect approached him and asked
for money. A second suspect then struck the victim from behind with
a hard object. Both suspects ran towards I-270. No property was
obtained.
-Suspect #1 B/M, 20s, baggy jeans, black shirt. No description of
Suspect #2 was provided.
-On 06-23-04,
at 11:30 p.m.,
a 17-year-old Germantown youth was walking on Cinnamon Dr. behind
the Grandmart Food Store in Germantown when he was approached by a
suspect (B/M, 18-21, 510-60, 180-200 lbs., dark clothing, ball
cap). The suspect asked for money. The victim refused and kept
walking. Three other suspects then walked up behind the suspect.
One of the suspect then struck the victim with a hard object. The
suspects then pushed the victim to the ground and removed property.
No description was provided for the three suspects.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ARREST
On 06-24-04,
at 2:50 p.m.,
Geordan Glasgow Harris, 19-years-old, from the unit block of Boat
House Court in North Potomac was arrested and charged with
First-degree Assault. The arrest was the result of an incident in
the area of Rolling Green Way & Soft Wind Drive in North Potomac.
SEX ASSAULT
-On 06-15-04, a 14-year-old Gaithersburg
male juvenile was arrested and charged with two counts of a
Third-degree Sex Offense. The arrest was a result of the defendant
sexually assaulting his 7-year-old female cousin and his 4-year-old
female cousin.
-On 06-24-04,
at approximately 4:50 p.m.,
a 14-year-old Gaithersburg
female reported she met and accompanied a male youth on a walk in
the Observatory
Heights
subdivision of Gaithersburg.
The suspect (B/M, approximately 17-years-old, 55, 145 lbs.,
cornrows hair, white T-shirt, black nylon pants, black shoes, black
hat) fondled her, the victim screamed and the suspect fled.
