ARMED ROBBERY           

            -On 07-11-04, at 10:15 p.m. a 25-year-old Gaithersburg man was in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle in Gaithersburg when he was approached from behind by two suspects. One of the suspects displayed a gun and demanded money from the victim. The suspects grabbed a cell phone from the victim and fled on foot towards Contour Rd. Suspect #1 was described as a B/M, 20-30 years-old, 6’0”, 185 lbs., wearing blue jeans, white t-shirt, black skull cap, armed with a handgun. Suspect #2 was described as a B/M, 20-30 years of age, 5’8”, and 165 lbs. 

            -On 07-08-04, at 10:00 p.m., a delivery person for Papa Johns Pizza in Silver Spring was making a delivery to the 3800 block of Bel Pre Rd. in Silver Spring when he observed a male sitting on a bench to the right of the apartment complex. The suspect (B/M, 25, 6’0”-6’4”, skinny, black shirt and pants, black shoes, tan hat, glasses) motioned to the victim to follow him. In front of an apartment the suspect pulled out a black handgun and demanded money. The victim turned over cash and the pizza and was then told to leave. 

            -On 07-08-04, at 10:50 p.m., a 23-year-old Germantown woman was the victim of an attempt armed robbery in a residence in the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Dr. in Germantown. Two suspects forced there way into the apartment by breaking the rear sliding glass door. The suspects pointed a gun and demanded money.  The victim screamed and the suspects left without obtaining any property.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, 20s, short braided hair, blue jeans, red shirt.
            -Suspect #2 – B/M, 20s, mixed race, blue jeans, black or white shirt. 

            -On 07-11-04, at 8:40 p.m., a 22-year-old Montgomery Village woman and a 19-year-old male were talking outside the Gaithersburg Library when they were approached by a male and female suspects. They asked for money and the victims said they had none. The male suspect implied a gun in his pocket. The suspects then fled across Christopher Ave. towards Hellingly. 

            -On 07-12-04, three 14-year-old male juveniles from Potomac were arrested and charged with armed robbery and 1^st degree assault. The arrests were a result of an armed robbery outside the Cabin John Middle School in Potomac where a 16-year-old male was threatened with a knife.

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 07-09-04, at 2:48 p.m., a 65 year-old Silver Spring man was walking in the 12400 block of Georgia Ave. in Wheaton when he was approached by 2 suspects. Suspect #1 (Hispanic/F, 13-15, long reddish hair, light blue top, blue jeans, white plastic glasses, light skinned) asked for change and the victim pulled out his wallet. Suspect #1 reached into the wallet and grabbed cash. A brief struggle ensued and the suspect ran away with the cash. Suspect #2 was described as a Hispanic male, 13-15, 5’5”, 140 lbs., black football jersey, black shorts, dark skinned.

            -On 07-12-04, at 8:50 p.m., the CK Jewelers located at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, was robbed. A lone suspect (B/M, 28, 5’9”, 170 lbs., clean shaven, beige T-shirt with Timberland logo on shirt) entered the store and asked to see a diamond ring. When the clerk produced the jewelry, the suspect grabbed the jewelry and fled out of the store. The clerk gave chase but the suspect exited the mall and entered a dark blue vehicle driven by a black male. 

            -On 07-10-04, at 1:50 p.m., a 14 year-old and 16 year-old male juveniles from Washington, D.C. were arrested and charged with robbery, theft over $500, conspiracy to commit robbery, peeping Tom, and rogue Vagabond. The arrests were a result of a strong arm robbery of a 74 year-old Rockville woman on the sidewalk in front of the 10400 block of Rockville Pike (Grosvenor Metro).

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ARREST 

            -On 07-10-04, Jose Rivera, age 21, of the 7300 block of New Hampshire Ave. in Takoma Park, and Rene Monterrosa, age 24, of the 1100 block of Navahoe Dr. in Silver Spring, were arrested and charged with First-degree Assault.  The arrest was the result of an incident in the 15500 block of Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville.

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 07-08-04, Jason Logan, age 20, of the 13300 block of Rippling Brook Dr. in Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Destruction of Property, Concealed Deadly Weapon, Disorderly Conduct, and Disorderly Intoxication.  The arrest was the result of an incident in the 3100 block of Whispering Pines Court in Silver Spring. 

            -On 07-04-04, two 13-year-old Silver Spring juveniles and a 15-year-old Silver Spring juvenile were arrested and charged with First-degree Burglary.  The arrests were the result of an incident in the 13600 block of Colgate Way in Silver Spring. 

            -On 07-12-04, a 15-year-old Silver Spring juvenile was arrested and charged with Fourth-degree Burglary.  The arrest was the result of an incident in the 3400 block of Robey Terr., in Burtonsville. 

            -On 07-06-04, Omar Brown, age 28, of no current fixed address, was arrested and charged with three counts of First-degree Burglary.  The arrest was the result of an incident in the 3300 block of Jones Bridge Rd., in Bethesda. 

            -On 07-07-04, Kevin Jones, age 50, of no current fixed address was arrested and charged with Second-degree Burglary, Fourth-degree Burglary, and Theft Under $500.  The arrest was the result of an incident at the Academy of the Holy Cross, located at 4920 Strathmore Ave., in Kensington.

INDECENT EXPOSURE 

            -On 07-11-04 at 9:30 a.m., a 47-year-old Beltsville woman was in area of Park Avenue and Lee Street in Gaithersburg when she heard someone call out to her from behind.  The victim turned around, observed the suspect expose himself and begin to masturbate. The suspect fled towards Russell Avenue when the victim said she was calling police.  The suspect was described as a B/M, in his 30’s, 5’10”, 165 lbs., black hair, wearing blue sweatpants.

INDECENT EXPOSURE ARREST 

            -On 07-06-04 at 4:45, Daniel James Jr., 40, of no current fixed address, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.  The arrest was the result of an incident in the 19000 block of Partridge Wood Drive in Germantown.
