ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 11-18-03, at 7:45 p.m., 2 adult male victims were in the parking lot of the 2100 block of Hildarose Dr. in Forest Glen when they were approached by 3 suspects. Two or the suspects brandished pistols and demanded money. One victim gave up cash and the other had none. The suspects fled toward the Forest Glen Metro and encountered another victim on Rosensteel Avenue. The suspects obtained no money. The suspects proceeded to Holman Ave. and Rosensteel Ave. where they encountered 2 more adult victims. The suspects obtained money and fled the area.
            Suspect #1 – B/M, 16-18, 5’6”-5’7”, 120-125 lbs., black sweat pants, red flowered shirt

           -On 11-22-03, at 3:26 a.m., the CVS store, located at 3715 University Blvd. W. in Kensington, was robbed. A lone suspect (W/M, 21, 5’10”, 220 lbs., blonde hair, blue Dallas Cowboy jacket, blue jeans) entered the store and went to the pharmacy in the rear of the store. He produced a rifle and demanded a drug. The victim/clerk gave him the drugs and the suspect fled out the front door. 

            -On 11-21-03, at 6:14 p.m., the Starbucks Coffee Restaurant, located at 5454 Wisconsin Ave. in Chevy Chase was robbed. A lone suspect (B/M, 30-35, 6’3”-6’5”, 150-175 lbs., short black hair, dark blue jacket, blue jeans) entered the store and posed as a customer. He implied a gun and demanded cash. He grabbed the key and opened the cash register. He obtained cash and walked out of the store and proceeded southbound on Wisconsin Ave. toward the District line.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 11-20-03, at noon, a 32-year-old Montgomery Village man was robbed at Lakeforest Mall in the area of the Lord and Taylor upper parking lot. Two suspects approached the victim and demanded money. The victim said he had none. Then, Suspect #1 (B/M, 6’0”, 200 lbs., white jacket) grabbed the victim around the neck and took a watch from his wrist. The suspects fled across the street towards Lost Knife Road. 

            -On 11-22-03, at 2:05 a.m., a 39-year-old Gaithersburg man was walking at the intersection of Chestnut St. and W. Diamond Ave. when he was approached by 2 suspects. Suspect #1 (W/M, 17-19, 5’9”, heavy, blond, white T-shirt, black pants) asked the victim for money and pushed him down to the ground. Suspect #2 removed the victim’s wallet and took cash. He gave the wallet back. The suspects then fled the scene. Suspect #1 had the same description, except he was thinner.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 

            -On 11-18-03, at 3:30 a.m., a 28-year-old Germantown man was on the side walk in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Dr. when he was approached by 2 suspects. One of the suspects ran up to him and punched him in the face. Another suspect produced a knife and held the victim down and cut him on the stomach and the face. They then fled the area.
            -Suspect #1 – B/M, 6’0”, 200 lbs., goatee, black jeans, white Tennis shoes, denim jacket
            -Suspect #2 – B/M, 5’6”, baggy clothing 

            -On 11-22-03, at 2:40 a.m., the Security guard at Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg was patrolling the area behind the dealership when he was suddenly and unexpectedly jumped from behind by 2 suspects. The suspects (M, 6’1”, dark ski masks, blue jeans, dark jackets) struck the victim on the head with wooden sticks. No words were exchanged and no property was taken. They were last seen running towards Bureau Drive.

1ST DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -8200 block of Raymond Lane in Potomac, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on 11-18-03. Broke out front window, guitars and accessories taken.

            -Unit block of China Rose Ct. in Rockville, between 12:05 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. on 11-19-03. Twist knob on garage door, cell phones, purse, wallet, cash taken.

            -10000 block of Counselman Rd. in Potomac, between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on 11-20-03. Broke out front door, keys taken.

 

2ND DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -BERGMANN’S CLEANERS, 10540 Metropolitan Ave. in Kensington, between 4:00 p.m. on 11-15-03 and 5:00 a.m. on 11-17-03. Broke rear window, cash taken.

            -LEXIS NEXIS, 4520 East West Hwy. in Bethesda, at 7:50 a.m. on 11-21-03. Pried frame on front door, nothing taken.

            -M.H. BARNES, INC., 4901 Rugby Ave. in Bethesda, between 5:00 p.m. on 11-17-03 and 7:00 a.m. on 11-18-03. Pried front door, nothing taken.

-MIZELL LUMBER AND HARDWARE CO., 10500 block of St. Paul St. in Kensington, between 7:00 p.m. on 11-17-03 and 6:30 a.m. on 11-18-03. Attempt to break front door, no entry.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

            -7300 block of Brennon Lane in Chevy Chase, between 9:00 p.m. on 11-16-03 and 7:15 a.m. on 11-17-03. Open garage door, bicycle taken.

            -7000 block of Wilson Lane in Bethesda, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. on 11-18-03. Opened unlocked front door, jewelry taken.   

            -3700 block of Jones Bridge Rd. in Bethesda, between 8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on 11-18-03. Pried open front door, jewelry taken.

            -2600 block of East West Hwy. in Chevy Chase, between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on 11-18-03. Front door entry, nothing taken.

            -7600 block of Old Georgetown Rd. in Bethesda, between 5:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on 11-22-03. Unlocked front door, computers taken.

            -4800 block of Montgomery Lane in Bethesda, at 4:15 p.m. on 11-23-03. Opened garage door, bike taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -SHONEY’S RESTAURANT, 10001 New Hampshire Ave. in Silver Spring, between midnight on 11-12-03 and 3:00 p.m. on 11-16-03. Broke out front window, unknown amount taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -12900 block of Stonecrest Dr. in the Fairland area of Silver Spring, between 4:00 p.m. on 11-08-03 and 7:00 a.m. on 11-14-03. Entered shed, leaf compactor taken. 

            -8600 block of Barron St. in Silver Spring, between 5:00 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. on 11-17-03. Broke out window in rear door, jewelry taken.

            -700 block of University Blvd. E. in Silver Spring, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on 11-17-03. Door entry, Nintendo and cash taken.

            -11200 block of Lockwood Dr. in White Oak, between 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on 11-17-03. Unlocked front door, VCR taken.

            -700 block of Silver Spring Ave. in Silver Spring, between 8:30 a.m. on 11-10-03 and 7:30 a.m. on 11-13-03. Entered backyard shed, lawnmower, tricycle, bikes taken.

            -10400 block of Conover Dr. in the Plyers Mill area of Silver Spring, between 10:30 a.m. and 6:26 p.m. on 11-14-03. Broke through basement door, jewelry taken.

            -12000 block of New Hampshire Ave. in Silver Spring, between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on 11-15-03. Unknown entry, cash taken.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -CYCLES USA, 14021 Georgia Ave. in Wheaton, between 7:30 p.m. on 11-14-03 and 9:45 a.m. on 11-15-03. Climbed over Fence, bottles taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -14300 block of Georgia Ave. in Wheaton, between 4:10 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. on 11-14-03. Opened front door, nothing taken.

            -3700 block of Astoria Rd. in Kensington, between 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. on 11-15-03. Climbed through rear window, nothing taken.

            -12100 block of Georgia Ave. in Wheaton, between 7:00 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. on 11-15-03. Broke through front door, nothing taken.

            -15300 block of New Hampshire Ave. in Silver Spring, between 7:00 p.m. on 10-25-03 and 1:00 p.m. on 10-26-03. Opened unlocked door, lawn tools taken.

            -4200 block of Bar Harbor Place in Olney, between 5:00 p.m. on 11-01-03 and 9:00 a.m. on 11-15-03. Twist knob, unknown amount taken.

            -19300 block of Circle Gate Dr. in Germantown, between 8:00 a.m. on 10-15-03 and 8:00 p.m. on 11-07-03. Unknown entry, nothing taken.

            -7000 block of Rocky Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on 11-18-03. Climbed through front window, cash taken.

            -14100 block of Gallop Terrace in Germantown, between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on 11-18-03. Unknown entry, Playstation and games, DVD movies taken.

            -21100 block of Westlery Rd. in Poolesville, between 6:45 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on 11-18-03. Broke through rear door, nothing taken.

            -23800 block of Rose Rd. in Damascus, between 8:00 a.m. on 11-15-03 and 11:00 p.m. on 11-16-03. Pried lock on front door, pistol, bow, drill taken.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -ALL ABOUT ART, 356 Main St. in Gaithersburg, between 5:00 p.m. on 11-14-03 and 10:10 a.m. on 11-17-03. Pried open basement door, nothing taken.

            -NISSAN, 619 N. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg, between 9:00 p.m. on 11-06-03 and 7:30 a.m. on 11-07-03. Unknown entry, vehicle taken.

            -GRADY MANAGEMENT INC., 204 Water St. in Gaithersburg, between 6:00 p.m. on 11-17-03 and 6:00 a.m. on 11-18-03. Pried open knob, nothing taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -9800 block of Meadowcroft Lane in Gaithersburg, between 9:00 p.m. on 11-15-03 and 11:00 a.m. on 11-16-03. Entered rear door of garage, moped taken.

            -9400 block of Brassie Way in Gaithersburg, between 3:30 p.m. on 11-09-03 and 9:00 p.m. on 11-14-03. Broke through sliding glass door, computer and accessories, jewelry, cash, CDs, DVD player, VCR,  phone taken.

            -900 block of Clopper Rd. in Gaithersburg, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on 11-18-03. Shimmied key front door, cash taken.

            -19000 block of Mills Choice Rd. in Gaithersburg, at 1:50 p.m. on 11-12-03. Broke through front door, nothing taken.

 

BURGLARY ARREST 

            -On 11-14-03, Michael Ivan Haley age 23, of Hyattsville was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary and resisting arrest. The arrest was the result of threats to kill his ex girl friend and break into her home in Silver Spring.           

            -On 11-12-03, Lamont Hudson age 27, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft under $500, and destruction of property. The arrests were a result of breaking and entering in homes in the 4000 block of Adams Dr. and the 3900 block of Lantern Dr. in Bethesda. 

            -On 11-18-03, Munther S. Haddad age 37, of the unit block of Orchard Dr. in Gaithersburg, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree burglary and theft over $500. The arrest was a result of a burglary at the La Prima Market Caf้, located at 8484 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring. 

            -On 11-15-03, Maria Julieta Flores Alarcom age 24, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with 4th degree burglary, malicious of property under $500, and disorderly conduct.

 

UNDERAGE ALCOHOL PARTY 

            -On 11-21-03, at 11:00 p.m., Police responded to the 5800 block of Maiden Lane in Bethesda for the report of an underage alcohol party. There were 10 adult alcohol citations issued and 6 juvenile alcohol citations issued. 

            -On 11-22-03, at 2:00 a.m., police responded to the 2600 block of Colston Dr. in Chevy Chase for the report of an underage alcohol party. There were 50 people in attendance. There were 2 adult citations issued and 3 juvenile citations issued.
