ARMED ROBBERY 

            -On 11-21-03, at 9:32 p.m., a delivery person for China Dynasty in Colesville made a delivery in the 2300 block of Glenallen Ave., in Wheaton, when he was approached by a suspect. The suspect (B/M, 25-30, 5’6”, black curly hair, white and black shirt, dark pants) produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect left the area.

           -On 11-24-03, at 9:45 a.m., a 28-year-old Wheaton man and a 17-year-old Washington, D.C. woman were in a parking lot of the Westfield Shopping Town, 11160 Veirs Mill Rd. in Wheaton, when a suspect approached them. The suspect implied he had a handgun and attempted to grab the woman’s purse. The suspect (B/M, 20-25, 5’10”-5’11”, 165-175 lbs., light beard, black baseball hat, gray sweat-suit) then got into burgundy Cadillac with tinted windows and temporary Maryland registration. It was driven by another suspect. No property was obtained. 

            -On 11-22-03, at 8:40 p.m., a 27-year-old Silver Spring man was walking in the 14200 block of Grand Pre Rd., in Wheaton, when he was approached from behind by two suspects. Suspect #1 (B/M, 20-26, 6’0”-6’2”, 150-180 lbs., short black hair, black jacket, black pants) implied a gun and demanded money. Suspect #2 (B/F, 20-26, 5’3”-5’5”, 120 lbs., black pants, short brown jacket) took cash from the victim’s wallet. The suspects then ran on foot heading toward the apartments.

 

ARMED ROBBERY/ARREST 

            -On 11-20-03, at 9:45 p.m., Eric Christopher Hancock, age 18, of the 3100 block of Hewitt Ave. in Wheaton was arrested and charged with armed robbery. The arrest was a result of a robbery of a Pizza Hut delivery person in the 3000 block of Hewitt Avenue.

 

STRONG ARM ROBBERY 

            -On 11-25-03, at 6:30 p.m., a 26-year-old Gaithersburg man was walking behind the Safeway located on Lost Knife Rd. in Gaithersburg, when three suspects approached him. Suspect #1 (B/M, 17-18, black jacket, blue jeans) punched the victim and grabbed him around the neck. He demanded money from him, but the victim ran away. No property was obtained. The suspects were last seen running across the street. The other two suspects were described as black males, 17-18 years of age. 

            -On 11-22-03, at 11:00 p.m., a 38-year-old Gaithersburg man was at the corner of Teachers Way and Girard St., in Gaithersburg, when two suspects approached him. Suspect #1 (B/M, 21-23, 6’0”, 140 lbs., gray hooded sweat jacket, black jean shorts) grabbed the victim and demanded money. Suspect #2 (B/M, 21-24, 5’5”, 130 lbs., gray jacket) removed the victim’s wallet. Both suspects then ran across towards Gaithersburg Middle School. 

            -On 11-25-03, at 10:00 p.m., a 38-year-old Silver Spring man was on Carroll Ave. near Piney Branch Rd., in Silver Spring when he was approached by two suspects. The suspects walked past the victim, turned around, and punched him in the head. The victim fell to the ground and the suspects kicked him. They grabbed the victim’s jacket and ran towards Quebec Terrace. Both suspects were described as Hispanic males, 20s, 5’10”-6’1”, and 160-170 lbs. 

            -On 11-20-03, at 1:50 p.m., a 53-year-old Silver Spring man was in the area of the 3200 block of Colonial Lane in Silver Spring when he was approached by four suspects. The suspects were described as two black males and two black females, all between 20 and 22 years of age, wearing dark clothing. They beat the victim up, stole cash, and ran on foot in an unknown direction. 

            -On 11-24-03, at 7:50 p.m., a delivery person for Dominos Pizza in Rockville was making a delivery to the 6500 block of Westlake Dr. in Bethesda. when three suspects pulled him to the ground. One suspect demanded money and stated he had a gun. The suspects removed cash from the victim. The suspects ran up the stairs of 10502 Westlake Drive.
            Suspect #1 – B/M, 19-22 years-old, 6’2”, large black puffy jacket, glasses
            Suspect #2 – B/M, 19-22 years-old, 5’8”, large brown jacket
            Suspect #3 – B/M, 12-15 years-old. 

            -On 11-24-03, at 1:00 a.m., a 40-year-old Silver Spring woman was in the 2400 block of Sun Valley Circle, in Wheaton, when a suspect approached her from behind. The suspect (B/M, 20-30, 5’6”, 180 lbs., black pants, black shirt, stocking cap) grabbed her purse and a struggle began. The suspect punched the victim and he grabbed her purse. The suspect left the area in an unknown vehicle. The victim was treated at a local hospital for swelling. 

            -On 11-23-03, at 6:20 p.m., a 16-year-old Silver Spring woman was walking on Kerwin Rd. at Gilmoure Dr., in Four Corners,  when two suspects approached her from behind. One of the suspects grabbed the bag and after a brief struggle the suspects ran down Kerwin Rd. toward Sligo Creek Park. The victim ran after them and they eventually dropped the bag. No property was taken. The suspects were described as black males, 5’6”-5’7”, 150-160 lbs., with blue jeans and black jackets.

 

BURGLARY ARREST 

      -On 11-19-03, Kumah Fahie, age 20, no current fixed address, and Willie Pratt, age 18, of the 3000 block of Shepperton Terr., Silver Spring were arrested and charged with First and Fourth degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first and fourth degree burglary, malicious destruction of property, possession of a concealed weapon, false statements to police, and resisting arrest. The arrests were a result of attempt burglary at a residence in the 3200 block of Hollyhock Dr. in Silver Spring. 

      -On 11-19-03, Paul Raymond Green Jr., age 18, of the 10500 block of Sunnybrook Dr., Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first degree burglary, possession of marijuana, malicious destruction of property, and conspiracy to commit theft. In addition, a 17-year-old male juvenile from Hyattsville was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, conspiracy to commit first degree burglary, and theft under $500. The arrests were a result of a burglary at a residence in the 2100 block of Derby Ridge Lane in Silver Spring.

            -10600 block of Pinehaven Terr., Bethesda, between 11:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on 11-24-03. Broke through sliding glass door, jewelry and cash taken.

 

3RD DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -LANCE BAILEY & ASSOCIATES, INC., 7961 Eastern Ave., Silver Spring, between 10:00 p.m. on 11-21-03 and 9:30 a.m. on 11-22-03. Broke out door, rug and camera taken.

            -GREENCASTLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 13611 Tobey  Rd., in Burtonsville, between 7:33 p.m. and 7:36 p.m. on 11-22-03. Broke through door, nothing taken.

            -PHILLIPS/STEVENS & ASSOC. INC., and OTHERS, 3905 National Dr. in Burtonsville, Broke out window in door, nothing taken.

 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -1100 block of Oakview Dr., Silver Spring, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on 11-19-03. Entered window, cameras and lenses, radio, camcorder taken.

            -600 block of Northampton Dr., Silver Spring, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. on 11-21-03. Broke through window, DVD, VCR, video games, Playstation, Xbox with joy sticks taken.

            -10800 block of Lorain Ave., Silver Spring, between 7:15 a.m. on 11-20-03 and 10:00 a.m. on 11-21-03. Pried frame on door, cash taken.

            -2200 block of Falling Creek, Silver Spring, between 9:40 a.m. and noon on 11-21-03. Broke through sliding glass door, unknown amount taken.

            -11600 block of Lockwood Dr., Silver Spring, between noon and 2:30 p.m. on 11-17-03. Broke out window, nothing taken.

            -8600 block of Flower Ave., Silver Spring, at 12:40 a.m. on 11-23-03. Climbed through side window, nothing taken.

 

4TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

           -MANOR COUNTRY CLUB, 14901 Carrollton Rd., Rockville, between 7:00 p.m. on 11-19-03 and 7:00 a.m. on 11-20-03.  Kicked in door, golf carts taken. 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -3600 block of Peartree Ct., Wheaton, between 11:00 p.m. on 11-18-03 and 6:00 a.m. on 11-19-03.  Broke through door, money taken.

            -3300 block of Peartree Ct., Wheaton, between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on 11-23-03.  Entered home, camera, airline tickets, and money taken.

            -18200 block of Fox Chase Circle, Olney, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 11-19-03.  Climbed through window, Playstation and games, back pack, and money taken.

            -18600 block of Queen Elizabeth Dr., Olney, between 8:10 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on 11-21-03.  Pried window, prescription drugs taken.

            -12700 block of Layhill Rd., Wheaton, on 11-21-03 between unknown times.  Attempt only, pried door frame.

            -3500 block of Peartree Ct., Wheaton, between 1:00 p.m. on 11-23-03 and 4:45 p.m. on 11-24-03.  Broke out window, jewelry and money taken.

           -Unit block of Hickory Hill Ct., Silver Spring, between 7:05 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on 11-24-03.  Pried open door, money taken.

           -4400 block of Brookeville Rd., Brookeville, between 11:30 a.m. on 11-13-03 and 9:00 a.m. on 11-14-03.  Entered home, money taken.

           -17700 block of Striley Dr., Ashton, between 7:15 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on 11-21-03.  Pried door, shoes, television games, and DVDs taken.

           -12900 block of Turkey Branch Pkwy., Rockville, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on 11-21-03.  Kicked in door, camera, tools, Gameboy, Playstation and games taken.

 

5TH DISTRICT 

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -Unit block of Applegrath Ct., Germantown, at 4:00 a.m. on 11-21-03. Climbed through window, nothing taken.

            -12200 block of St. Peter Ct., Germantown, between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on 11-23-03.  Entered home, cash, cell phone, wallet, purse taken.

           -11500 block of Brundidge Terr., Germantown, between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on 11-25-03.  Attempt only, kicked in door.

 

6TH DISTRICT 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 

            -ZIOS RESTAURANT, 9083 Gaither Rd., Gaithersburg, between 11:00 p.m. on 11-21-03 and 5:37 a.m. on 11-22-03. Broke through window, cash register taken.             

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY 

            -7900 block of Muncaster Mill Rd., Gaithersburg, at 11:15 a.m. on 11-20-03. Broke through door, nothing taken.

            -9700 block of Wightman Rd., Gaithersburg, between 7:00 p.m. on 11-19-03 and 8:15 a.m. on 11-20-03. Opened garage door, cell phone, coins taken.

           -Unit block of N. Glade Ct., Gaithersburg, between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. o 11-23-03.  Attempt only, broke out window.
