NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT SOLICITATION

Montgomery County proposes the use of the Federal grant funds received under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Public Law 111-5), which provides for the establishment and funding for the Recovery Act: Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Formula Program: Local Solicitation.

The proposed use of the $1,029,496 grant received by Montgomery County Government is for the following:

FEDERAL FUND

Department of Police: Digital Video Evidence System (DVES)

Office of the Sheriff: Protective Order Entry Project

Office of the State's Attorney: Anti-Gang Initiative

Department of Correction and Rehabilitation:PreTrial and PreRelease Electronic Monitoring

Services Department of Health and Human Services: Street Outreach Network UpCounty Employment

Public written comment regarding the proposed allocation of these Federal funds will be accepted through June 15, 2009.
