Seneca Cluster Community Partnership (SCCP)

Seneca Cluster Community Partnership (SCCP)...What is it?  And how can it help me?

In the spring of 1997, the Seneca Cluster Community Partnership was formed as a partnership between Germantown area homeowner and condominium associations and the Montgomery County Police.  This dynamic group meets the fourth Thursday quarterly with CSAFE (Collaborative Supervision and Focused Enforcement) to discuss community issures and concerns about crime.  The SCCP members address community issues with a problem solving approach.  Often, when a problem is brought to the group, one or more of the SCCP members have encountered a similar issue within their community.  This allows them to quickly provide proven solutions.  The SCCP uses all available resources to help solve problems.  Effective partnerships have been formed with many government agencies including the Up-County Regional Services Center, Housing Opportunities Commission, the State's Attorney Office, and Code Enforcement.  All available options are explored and the most effective solutions are discussed and implemented.

SCCP operates out of the Germantown Recreation Center, located at 18905 Kingsview Road in Germantown.

Financial Committee

All the money that is raised by the SCCP and some of the money in the CSAFE Grant is overseen by the Financial Committee.  This committee is made up of SCCP members representing several of the communities involved.  They have set up an account with the Montgomery County Police Foundation, which allows contributions to be tax deductible.  The money that the SCCP collects and spends is used for crime prevention and quality of life activities in the membership communities.
