Senior Transportation
Montgomery County Recreation provides a variety of transportation programs and services to help seniors get around the County. Many of them are free or have a very small fee. These programs include:
Center Transportation
Montgomery County Recreation provides a combination of curb-to-curb and fixed route transportation to five of our senior centers and three Active Adult Program locations. This free service is available to County residents 55 and over residing within the service area for the centers. If you are interested, please call your local senior center or the Senior Programs Team at 240-777-4925 for more information. Senior Centers in this program include: Damascus, Holiday Park, Long Branch, North Potomac, Schweinhaut, and White Oak. Active Adult Programs with transportation include Germantown and Potomac.

Accessible parking spaces for individuals with disabilities are available at all Montgomery County senior centers and Active Adult Program locations, and are clearly posted in the facility's parking lot. In addition, accessible entrances to the building are located and posted near the accessible parking spaces.

Other Transportation Options
Connect-A-Ride
Is a free program that helps all adults 50+ and adults with disabilities find transportation. Trained staff provide details about public and private transportation options. Call M-F between 9:00am - 5:00pm at 301-738-3252, or ConnectARide@accessJCA.org.
Metro Bus and Ride On
Seniors ages 65 or older with valid Metro Senior ID and/or with valid Medicare Card and Photo ID can ride for free 24/7, Monday - Friday.
Call-N-Ride
Is a discounted taxi trip program, and is available to income eligible individuals age 67 and over and adults with disabilities. Call 301-948-5409 for additional information.
Metro Access
Is shared ride, door-to-door transportation, offered seven days per week to individuals with disabilities that can't otherwise use public transportation. For information on eligibility visit Metro Access, or call 301-562-5360.
