Give your child an unforgettable summer experience by choosing an outdoor exploration camp. Campers have the chance to gain an appreciation for the natural environment and developoutdoor skills at a first class camp. Swimming and field trip opportunities are included. Campersmust bring their lunch. Camps will not meet on July 4.
Outdoors Camps

Ages 9 - 13: Join us for the NEW and IMPROVED Explorer Outdoor Adventure camp! Campers will have a chance to learn and participate in activities that will enhance their awareness of the outdoors. Activities will include Nature Exploration, Plant Identification and removal of invasive plant species projects, creek walks and create crafts using recyclable materials. They may also learn Survival Skills, Orienteering, and Animal Tracking. Campers may also gain an appreciation for outdoor sports and activities such as archery, rock climbing/ repelling, and nature photography. The first 3 sessions will include a weekly field trip. Campers will go canoeing once per week. Campers will swim at a lake or an MCR pool once per week Afternoon extended camp is available for Explorer campers for an additional fee. Camps will not meet on July 4th.



Ages 9 - 13: Relax and cool down after a long day of fun with afternoon extended camp. Campers can participate in games, crafts or downtime with their friends. Campers must bring a snack for Extended Camp.



Ages 9-13: Animal tracking, plant identification and wilderness skills will fill our days as we explore beautiful grounds of Lake Needwood. Join us for the NEW and IMPROVED Outdoor Adventure camp! Campers will have a chance to learn and participate in activities that will enhance their awareness of the outdoors, including Exploration, Plant Identification and removal of invasive plant species. Projects, creek walks and creating crafts using recyclable materials will thrill tyour youth. They may also learn Survival Skills, Orienteering, and Animal Tracking. Campers may also gain an appreciation for outdoor sports and activities such as archery, and photographing nature. The first 3 sessions will include a weekly field trip. Campers will go canoeing once per week. Campers will swim at a lake or a Montgomery County Recreation pool once per week. Camps will not meet on Friday, July 4th, 2014.



Ages 9-13: Ever wonder how to identify a great blue heron flying in the sky or how to track a white tailed deer through the woods? In this exciting outdoor adventure camp, campers will learn the answer to these questions and more! Based out of Seneca Creek, this camp is packed full with daily activities including hiking, canoeing, onsite swimming, arts and crafts, nature games and more! We will focus our exploring on wilderness skills and nature identification and put our skills to the test with a camping overnight experience (first three sessions only). Each camper must bring a bag lunch. Afternoon Extended camp is available on site for an additional fee. Please note that session four does not offer an overnight or canoeing. Camps will not meet on Friday, July 4th, 2014.

Ages 6-14 This exciting new camp offers canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, archery, air rifle,gymnastics, and more. Transportation is provided (limited area -- please call the Camp 301-948-0220 to verify your pick up point). The facility has two pools, a 2 acre lake, climbing walls, archery ranges, and more, Campers are divided by age and gender. It is a busy day, full of encouragement, learning, and fun, all with an emphasis on safety.



Ages 8-14 Campers participate in horseback riding or a horse activity once per day plus participate in other camp activities such as canoeing, kayaking, air rifle, swimming, archery, gymnastics, and more throughout the rest of the day. Valley Mill Camp has two pools, a 2 acre lake, climbing walls, archery ranges, stables and more and is surrounded by nature. The horseback riding option is available for females only. Males may participate at Valley Mill Camp in the Adventure and Water Sports Camp. Bus Transportation is provided.
