Recently the Department of Recreation presented the final design development concepts for the Mid-County Community Recreation Center at a community meeting and at the Planning Board. The facilities are being built adjacent to Layhill Local Park on Queensguard Road near the intersection of Layhill and Bel-Pre roads. Current schedules anticipate construction to begin next winter and the Center to open by the fall of 2009.
