Conveniently located on Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, the Wheaton Community Center is easily accessible by public transportation and is within walking distance to two subway stations. The Wheaton Community Center is a multi-purpose recreational facility that serves people of all ages. The Center's purpose is to provide activities and experiences that provide its customers with personal enjoyment and satisfaction. The Center also strives to promote health, physical fitness, learning, growth and opportunities for socializing.

Our Center's gymnasium includes basketball and volleyball courts. The gymnasium can also be used for other purposes, as it features a full-size stage. Open Gym memberships are available for ages18 years and older.

The Center also has an exercise/weight room which features a full circuit of self-administered weight machines, free weights, and exercise bicycles. Person's 16 years or older can purchase an Exercise/Weight Room membership.

Our social hall can accommodate up to 75 people, and provides space for a variety of social and dance activities. It can be rented for private parties and meetings with rental fees based on the type and duration of the event. A kitchen is adjacent to the social hall.

The Center's art room is used for scheduled instructional programs and has opportunities for self-directed participation. The Center also has a fully-equipped computer room, billiard room and game room, featuring billiards and video games. Wheaton Community Center's comfortable lounge area has a large-screen TV, cable and VCR. There's even a snack area with vending machines.

The Center has many activities for all age groups, including dance and music classes, art classes, and sports classes.

Accessible parking spaces for individuals with disabilities are available and posted in the facility’s parking lot at 11711 Georgia Avenue. In addition, accessible entrances to the building are located and posted near the accessible parking spaces.
